In light of Dark Kubrick's response, I've reduced your block. You should be able to edit later tonight. Please refrain from the style of editing that you have done so far, and discuss changes. Jaws (film) is currently a featured article candidate and it is very important that it is not messed up. The JPStalk to me 20:02, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jaws edit

I see that you are very obstinate in your view that Brody's fear of water should be included. Let me remind you that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan site devoted to sharing the most detailed synopsis of the film. If it does not directly influence the plot, then it should not be included. Brody's aquaphobia is mere character; it certainly enhances his character, but it's not crucial to the plot at all. Look at it this way: if you took Brody's aquaphobia out of the film, would the plot change in any way? Please reply to me before you edit the article more. Thanks.--Dark Kubrick 19:24, 6 September 2006 (UTC) I see that I have an edit conflict with The JPS, as he just blocked you. Please consider my points while your block expires.Reply

Of course your ideas are right, fear is a major theme of the movie. But, as I said before, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia: it's here to give all the information, all the facts, and all the relevant points of view. Unless you mention Brody's aquaphobia in a "Themes" section, it will seem out of place in the article, so mentioning it in the Plot section is unnecessary. While some featured film articles have a theme section, Jaws's themes are a lot less significant or notable. As for the aquaphobic reference, I thought the sentence just flowed better with it in there, and I had quite forgotten about it; I will remove it. I respect your opinion, and for considering mine.--Dark Kubrick 19:34, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I didn't actually want to add a Themes section for the movie; I was just saying if Brody's aquaphobia were mentioned, it would have to be followed up in a similar section. Adding a Themes section would just be too much unnecessary work: you have to write it, you have to find reliable sources, and besides, it has already gone through two peer reviews, two Good Article nominations, and has been passed as a Featured Article. As such, it's been scrutinized by several editors, and no one has ever suggested adding a Themes section. I think we already have this kinda covered in "Inspirations and Influences".--Dark Kubrick 19:48, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Serious House trivia section edit

Gidday. Your recent edits to Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth has been reverted. Your "trivia" section lacks any form of citation and possesses some minor writing errors. It is also recommended that making sections titled "trivia" be avoided in encyclopedia articles. If you can provide proof of your claims and add the information in a better way, feel free. You'll still need to offer citation. Claims such as "It was the reason Christian Bale took interest in Batman" should be backed up with proof. From what source did you find this out? Are they reliable? ACS (Wikipedian); Talk to the Ace. See what I've edited. 20:39, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
