Request to delete

I watchlisted your proposal for a mountaineering/climing WP and noticed you discovered WikiProject Climbing. Do I have your consent to delete your proposal (using {{db-g6}})? Needless to say, you can join WP Climbing and, if necessary, propose changes to the project's scope on WP Climbing's talk page. ~EdGl 22:18, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Poperratic

Hi, just a quick note to let you know that you placed an AfD tag on the above article but you did not complete the nomination process. If you need any help completing the nom let me know, regards, ascidian | talk-to-me 01:05, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

I have replied at my talk page. ascidian | talk-to-me 10:09, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
I have removed the AfD tag for now. If you want to put your rationale on the talk page I will complete the nom for you. regards ascidian | talk-to-me 02:27, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Nomination for deletion

On 10 May 2009 you nominated Poperratic for deletion, but you never created the discussion page. Please continue the deletion process as detailed on Wikipedia:Afd#How_to_list_pages_for_deletion or revoke your nomination. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. AfD

Since you seem involved in some articles about broadcasters, would you mind taking a look at this AfD and see if you think it should go or not? [1] thanks. Niteshift36 (talk) 06:30, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Dear Sloat

I always delete vandalism threatening warnings from my own talk page. Have fun with the wiki-whatever they are's. They will get no argument from me. Have a great day!Jarhed (talk) 05:46, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

July 2009

Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not do on Sarah Palin. Thank you. Everyone, including you, makes mistakes. When another editor owns up to theirs, it's time to drop it rather than escalate. You will also need to clearly read WP:VANDAL as calling something "vandalism" that clearly is not can be escalated. Ironically you were validly warned against WP:NPA, and by removing that warning, you tacitly accepted the warning. Please WP:AGF in all of your interactions on Wikipedia. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:27, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

You are mistaken. You do not AGF someone who is uncivil. In any case, does that mean I can safely delete this warning too?Jarhed (talk) 10:08, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

AGF is extended to everyone. You are welcome to provide links on the WQA where you claim that they have been uncivil first - all other parties will then be able to post theirs against you and them. The best thing would be for everyone to grow up and stop the gigantic pissing contest - you first. This is a collaborative project, and if you're here, you need to remember that everyone on the other end of the internet is a person with a POV - including you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 18:32, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
I don't disagree with you that I was in vio of AGF. I find that particular editor impossible to work with. However, the policy reasonably states that you do not respond uncivilly in response. And no, I am not posting links or otherwise participating in a dispute process. I just edit around here where I can and ignore the plumbing. Jarhed (talk) 20:14, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
BTW, I didn't mention it earlier, AGF and all, but I know for a fact that deleting a warning from your own talk page does not "tacitly" accept that warning. I'm sure you can find the reference better than I. I would also like to see a dispute about me talking about vandalism on my own talk page, that would probably be amusing. Thanks for all of the help with the dispute resolution. You did a bang-up job.Jarhed (talk) 07:00, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Just in case you don't know, you are free to remove anything you want from your talk page, be they warnings or random discussions. Removing a warning is taken as a sign you've read it. It doesn't necessarily mean you've accepted it but if you delete a warning and then continue the behaviour and try to claim you weren't aware or didn't accept the warning you're not going to get very far. Nil Einne (talk) 15:53, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi Jarhed!

Well, so much for not having to write an entire novel, huh? I've watched this talk page since Palin's announcement as VP candidate, and one thing I've realized is that personal attacks go nowhere unless someone responds to them in kind, in which case both parties get in trouble. If you refuse to be goaded into such arguments then only your attacker will look bad, and others will quickly rush to admonish them for you. My friendly advice is to ignore any attack, for this has worked well for me here, especially on such a contentious article, and stick to your otherwise well phrased arguments.

Other than that, I just wanted to say thanks for your help on this article, and I hope that the constant need to repeat your position doesn't drive you away.

Thanks, Zaereth (talk) 00:03, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi. Can you provide you opinion on this matter? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 01:41, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Climategate

I saw on the talk page for the CRU email leak article that you have reliable sources you wish to include in the article. I have created a sandbox version of the article, and was wondering if you would be interested in editing there while the real article is locked. This would give you an opportunity to create content in-context which could be displayed on the talk page for inclusion. I hope that it can serve as an area where development can continue unhindered and, hopefully, a more neutral version of the article can be created. »S0CO(talk|contribs) 17:43, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

I will contribute what I can and just hope that it is not a waste. Have a great day!Jarhed (talk) 18:51, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Well done!

Great job on the Julian Barry article! Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 17:51, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Re: Kool-aid

Hi. I wanted to let you know that the link to already drunk the Kool-Aid on your user page goes to Kool-Aid instead of drinking the Kool-Aid, which is what it looks like you intended. Hope this helps and happy new year. Viriditas (talk) 02:09, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Hey, thanks. That article was not in existance when I wrote those words.Jarhed (talk) 22:13, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Please do not engage in soap boxing of this nature at Talk:Climatic Research Unit e-mail hacking incident. The talk page is for discussing improvements to the article, not denigrating the efforts of fellow editors. -- Scjessey (talk) 20:16, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

I know , I know all comments are constructive feeback, but I kid you not I am almost going to die of exhaustion due to the incessant edits I had to do for this article. It just seems like every day I check there's a new tag, edit or comment by yet another John doe..lol

I guess that is the beauty if Wikipedia, Anyways so recently I have made lots and lots of edits and was really hoping to get that stain on my article's heade removed - Can you help? I thank you in advance for your time. --JamshidAwal (talk) 22:37, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Your comments

brought from my talkpage

Gee thanks for your bold edit on the subject article. In the future, I would appreciate it if you would try not to bite newbies.Jarhed

I am not sure what your issue is, first you said to see the talkpage and there was nothing there and then you leave this newcomer a nice message saying well done for his article whilst it clearly had multiple issues and was reverted and stubbed down by two experienced editors and now you come here telling me not to bite the newcomers, also if you look again you will see I have not edited the article even once. Also if you look just above your note on my talkpage telling me not to bite the newcomers you will see a lovely note from the article creator thanking me for my nice note I left him on his talkpage. Off2riorob (talk) 08:56, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

I see you are editing, would you please do me the decency of responding to my question. Off2riorob (talk) 22:08, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

  • OK, no reply. Please take care when you give people advice , poor advice is not helpful at all. Off2riorob (talk) 16:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Seyran Ohanyan talk page

Jarhed, please do not alter the meaning and the context of talk page postings made by other editors by moving them to a section you have created and given an insulting and pov "Partisan ranting" title. Please also be a bit more careful when making your own postings - I already had to restore grandmaster's signature which you had erased when you made one of your posts. I have opened a discussion regarding your comments at [3] , thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 01:29, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
