  Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Sam Manekshaw. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. SMS Talk 08:28, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for Noting That,But really I am not in any war with any editor but that particular editor,if you will notice is editing articles as a propagandist not only Sam Manekshaw but also if you can notice the Indian Army,if you will go through the Indian Army editing History,You can see that the editor has continuously edited articles with illogical numbers like 60,000 Indian soldiers died and illogical facts without any reference and reason of editing,I have even requested to protect the Indian Army article(It will be great if you can look into it,the Page gets around 2500 views daily and it should be factually correct) Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rajendra Lahiri, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information in Wikipedia needs to be referenced to make it reliable. Please add the source from where you updated the awards tally for Indian infantry regiments. Happy editting & a belated welcome to Wikipedia from me. :) AshLin (talk) 14:54, 20 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, Janmejai

Although some prefer welcoming newcomers with cookies, I find fruit to be a healthier alternative.

Hello, Janmejai, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

  Thank you for making a report about 98.247.122.221 (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn against, and report vandalism. Your report was not a case of obvious vandalism, and as a result, the user has not been blocked and the request may have been removed from the page. Next time, please use Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents for reporting complex abuse or refer to Wikipedia:Resolving disputes if you have a dispute with the user. Thank you. —Darkwind (talk) 06:35, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Indian Corps of Military Police Flaw

edit

Hello, I am @Faithful15. I read what you said on the talk page of the Corps of Military Police article. I notice that the units aren't listed. What's up with that? I can't fix this problem because I don't have access to sufficient resources and websites. Could you please help with this problem? Faith15 16:46, 8 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
