March 2018 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tannerite has been reverted.
Your edit here to Tannerite was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9vjiYMyi6M) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Affiliation with Tannerite? edit

Hi :) Are you in any way affiliated with Tannerite? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 01:23, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ditto. I asked you on my talk page, and you did not reply. MartinezMD (talk) 19:05, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I am.Jamesakameisme (talk) 19:53, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

You need to read WP:COI. Your editing also comes across like you're from a PR or legal department, not an interested encyclopedia editor. You might benefit from reading WP:MOS as well. My advice is that you should not be making the edits yourself. You should identify any areas you might have concerns about and add a note in the article's talk page. Then editors without a conflict of interest can address the issues in an appropriate manner. MartinezMD (talk) 01:30, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
You may not like that the Tannerite targets are explosive, but by definition and by ATF recognition, they are explosive when mixed and subject regulation. "However, when the binary components are combined, the resulting mixture is an explosive material subject to the regulatory requirements found in 27 CFR, Part 555."

https://www.atf.gov/explosives/docs/newsletter/explosives-industry-newsletter-december-2011pdf/download

https://www.atf.gov/explosives/binary-explosives

And Tannerite's patent for the target calls it "a binary exploding target package" (emphasis added). If you have any objection to the mixture being described as explosive, please proceed to file a complaint with Wikipedia's administrators WP:ANI because I believe you will find the editors of the article will have a persisting difference of opinion with you.MartinezMD (talk) 20:16, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

My main problem is that this page should not exist. There should be a page for binary targets as there is and one should be added for Tannerite Sports LLC. This tannerite combines the two pages one of which already exists. Having this page only brings confusion to an already mucked up area of sporting goods. I do not see anyone allowing the page to be removed and done properly so I would like it to be made accurate at the very least. This is supposed to be a place to bring accurate information to the people and not add to the problem and confusion. Jamesakameisme (talk) 21:01, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps that is what you should be saying at the article's talk page rather than trying to scrub it. Separating Tannerite as a company from explosive targets would be a fair option in my opinion. Use the talk page, make proposals for changes, gather consensus, and as a person with a conflict of interest, let the other editors do the actual editing.
