Planning on helping with this article, since he was nice enough to put sources on the talk page. Agree with the removal of all the fact tags in the meantime. Looking forward to collaborating, Steven Walling (talk) 07:26, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Planet earth Lechuguilla.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Planet earth Lechuguilla.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:05, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I can take a look at it. It's not really my forte, by I'll bookmark some the sources used and check them out to see if there is any current news. MrKIA11 (talk) 14:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

New image project

Hi. This little form letter is just a courtesy notice to let you know that a proposal to merge the projects Wikipedia:WikiProject Free images, Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use, Wikipedia:WikiProject Moving free images to Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia:WikiProject Illustration into the newly formed Wikipedia:WikiProject Images and Media has met with general support at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Files. Since you're on the rosters of membership in at least one of those projects, I thought you might be interested. Conversation about redirecting those projects is located here. Please participate in that discussion if you have any interest, and if you still have interest in achieving the goals of the original project, we'd love to have you join in. If you aren't interested in either the conversation or the project, please pardon the interruption. :) Thanks. Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:46, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Admin Coaching

I saw that you were listed in the Coaches for reconfirmation section of the admin coaching status page. Could you please update your status, and if you are still interested, drop me a note on my talk page? Thanks, Genius101Guestbook 14:17, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello?

Hi, I'm not new to Wikipedia, but I am ignorant as to the Wikiquote site. Can you please recommend anyone who would be willing to mentor me? I come across some amazing quotes during my work on the English Wikipedia, and don't really know how Wikiquote works. Thanks.--leahtwosaints (talk) 15:34, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Jordan Spence/ Junior Stanislas

Hi just thought I'd let you know the picture you uploaded to Commons as being of Jordan Spence,

, is in fact a picture of Junior Stanislas - you can tell by the squad no. on his shorts -46 and the fact that this was taken in a match against Arsenal when Stanislas played but Spence didn't. --Egghead06 (talk) 12:34, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Jacoplane! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 6 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 939 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Pieter van Geel - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Kim Lammers - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of FLOSS Weekly

The article FLOSS Weekly has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of reliable sources and 3rd party citations. Also questionable notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andyzweb (talk) 14:54, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

the Prod for FLOSS

I believe as the creator of the FLOSS Weekly article you are not allowed to remove a proposed deletion tag. andyzweb (talk) 15:10, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

If it fails AfD I will relist as PROD andyzweb (talk) 15:12, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Well I'd like your opinion on EasyC I was thinking of listing that for deletion as it's a total mess and I gave up on improving it.andyzweb (talk) 15:18, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Pinball Project

Yeah, I noticed that post, but I didn't take it too personally. I think Guy's response was quite good. I've more recently tried updating the inactive-project cleanup, and Pinball was that troublesome one. Although the post did seem to be somewhat hostile, at least the situation is getting some attention from it, and hopefully the outcome will be a good clean-up. MrKIA11 (talk) 16:21, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

As a completely unrelated note, and not being talk page-stalkerish at all, anyone can remove a PROD tag, including the creator. I can't find if it says that explicitly anywhere, but WP:CONTESTED states: If anyone, including the article creator, removes a prod tag from an article..., which implies the you can remove it. And you might want to mention to andy that a page cannot be re-prodded under any circumstance. MrKIA11 (talk) 16:51, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

AfD nomination of FLOSS Weekly

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is FLOSS Weekly. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/FLOSS Weekly. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for editing Zlatan Ibrahimovic's page. Well done. The paragraph seems easier to read now. --Dathangy (talk) 18:31, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Admin Coaching: Reconfirmation

I was looking through the coaches at Wikipedia:Admin_coaching/Status and saw that there are a lot under "reconfirmation".

Could you let me know if you are still interesting in being involved with Admin Coaching, or if you would prefer to have your name removed from the "reconfirmation" list. If you want to be involved, could you please move your entry from "Reconfirmation" to "Active" and indicate how many students you would be willing to have (obviously, if you are actively coaching at the moment, then please indicate this!)

If I do not hear from you within a week, I will assume that you would like to have your name removed from the list of coaches.

British Pakistanis

Thank you for your significant contribution to the article on British Pakistanis. I was hoping to fill some of these refs in manually, but your work means that this no longer needs doing. I appreciate the time that you have given. Sansonic (talk) 16:38, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Revision to Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri articles

I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.

I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.

Thank you.
