Image copyright problem with Image:Schnursteinm.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Schnursteinm.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. tiZom(2¢) 15:02, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Schnur.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Schnur.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:MicahS.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

TfD nomination of Template:Winston Salem Warthogs roster edit

Template:Winston Salem Warthogs roster has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. — Metros (talk) 17:18, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template:Charlotte Knights roster edit

Seriously? You are going to edit war over bolded #s and linked players. All the other roster templates, whether it be major league or minor league have unbolded #s and links to all the players whether they are red links or not.--Giants27 T/C 15:47, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't matter, just thought the change didn't take affect. Wasn't trying to have an "edit war." Too many red links on a Single A roster caused it to get deleted last year, just trying to avoid that. JPN366 (talk) 19:42, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

To be more accurrate, I am updating the Knights roster to reflect the International League Active Player List PDF, dated 4/9/09([1]), as a source. The roster posted on [2] is inaccurrate. JPN366 (talk) 16:46, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

So, I guess instead of reflecting accurrate information directly from the International League, we're reflecting inaccurrate information. JPN366 (talk) 18:39, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Substitution of templates edit

Hi. I noticed you were adding the entire template coding for minor league rosters instead of substituting them. All you need to do to add a roster to a team page is, for example, add {{Birmingham Barons Roster}}. That way, when the roster template is updated, those changes will be reflected where ever the teamplate is included. -NatureBoyMD (talk) 19:01, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think part of the problem was the capitalizatoin of "roster". At some point, a roster with a capital "R" was created. However, the standard is to use a little "r" (that version of the roster is the most up-to-date). I redirected the older version to the newer (little "r") That should fix the problem. -NatureBoyMD (talk) 19:38, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, sorry for messing that one up. JPN366 (talk) 19:40, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, the template wasn't updating on the Birmingham Barons page. Just trying to make it update, mistaken entry. JPN366 (talk) 19:39, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey edit

What I did here is highly inappropiate and I'd like to apologize. But I'd like to know what you're source is for those changes (like my little rant says, haha). Thanks, --Giants27 T/C 18:53, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I used this, [3] scroll all the way down, it's an official document from the International League. It is very accurrate, although one player listed on the DL, Sergio Santos, was traded to the Giants in March. I had explained those changes in the talk thread for the template. Charlotte's homepage roster has notoriously been wrong over the years. I listen to the games on the radio to hear the PA announce the jersey numbers, so I filled them in where they were missing. Ryan Smith, for instance, retired early last summer, so he shouldn't be listed at all. Plus, I check the weekly updates on minor league transactions on Baseball America's website. Anyway, all I'm doing is trying to make the roster as accurrate as possible. In no way am I trying to vandalize or provide anything untrue. I don't trust the MiLB.com rosters, I could site many examples of how they're wrong just in the White Sox system alone. JPN366 (talk) 19:59, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I know you are but what I go by is the Baseball America weekly transactions, MiLB.com rosters and this is very helpful since it has the daily transactions from the International League and I might start using that pfd file although I'll wait until it's updated from it's current April 9th state, so go ahead and remake that edit, sorry for inconvience, Cheers and happy editing.--Giants27 T/C 20:21, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

No problem, it's better to work together to get it all right. Last year the PDF Active List was updated about two to three times a month. JPN366 (talk) 21:25, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I know Podsednik was signed by the White Sox to a minor league deal, but where did you see that he was sent to AAA?--Giants27 T/C 21:27, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Here [4] He's taking Owens spot in Charlotte. JPN366 (talk) 01:10, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks not sure how I missed that.--Giants27 T/C 01:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Charlotte Knights roster entries edit

Hi JPN ... What source are you using for the Charlotte Knights roster? I realize that the milb.com rosters aren't always completely accurate, but I know of no other online sources for minor league rosters. You added back in several player names that I deleted, but didn't include an edit summary. I'm not doubting you, but I would like to know the source. Thanks. --sanfranman59 (talk) 21:26, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I use the Baseball America minor league transactions, which are updated weekly. Derek Rodriguez, Brandon Hynick & Brian Omogrosso were all placed on the DL prior to the season beginning. Had they not, they would have been assigned to Charlotte. Adam Ricks was on the temporary inactive list, but wasn't removed from the roster. He's now been demoted to Birmingham. Miguel Negron was given a 50 game suspension to start the year, so he is suspended. Otherwise, he would be on Charlotte's roster as well.JPN366 (talk) 12:38, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi again, JPN ... FYI ... I emailed the Knights using the "Contact us" link on their website and received the following response Patrick Starck, their Director of Media Relations:
None of the following players are on our roster
Brandon Hynick
Brian Omogrosso
Derek Rodriguez
Miguel Negrón
Patrick Starck
Director of Media Relations
Charlotte Knights Baseball Club
704-357-8071 ext. 2144
patricks@charlotteknights.com
So I'm going to remove them from the Wikipedia roster page. My guess is that since they were placed on the DL (or suspended, in the case of Negrón) prior to the start of the season, they're in some kind of limbo-land within the White Sox organization. But I'm no expert on minor league roster rules. --sanfranman59 (talk) 16:57, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's fine, they are in Extended Spring Training out in Arizona. Like I said, I just put them on Charlotte's roster because that's where they'd be if they were assigned and active. JPN366 (talk) 17:43, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
