Heya. I noticed your creation of the talk page for the above article, noting that you intend to take the page to Deletion Review. If you haven't done so already, a review can be requested at WP:DRV - when you start a review, remember to link to the original AfD discussion, which is here.

I've nominated the Talk:List of maps in Company of Heroes page for speedy deletion, just to keep things tidy. I'm doing so simply because it's bad practice to have talk pages without an associated article: if that's deleted, it won't affect your chances of having List of maps in Company of Heroes re-created.

Hey, can you give me a link to the deletion discussion for the talk page? I'm not sure if I'm going to bring it to deletion review. What I'd like to do is look at the original article to see if it's worth saving, rather than creating a whole new one myself. I would rather you hadn't deleted the talk page, so we could have this discussion there :-\ But okay. To answer your questions: there was no deletion discussion, since it fell under the "db-talk" criterion for speedy deletion, and was thus deleted immediately by an admin. It wouldn't have been worth mentioning anyway, as far as I can tell. Unfortunately, it isn't possible for regular users to view deleted content, although it may be possible for admins to do so: it might be worth asking someone like Mailer Diablo about it. If you can't view the old version, you can propose the form you'd like the re-created one to take, telling us what information you'd like it to include and so forth, rather than having to totally rewrite it yourself. Help?

I redirected Pain (song) to Pain (Jimmy Eat World song), because there are multiple songs named Pain. However, the "What links here" page for Pain (song) shows a bunch of things that don't link there anymore. I believe it's because of the Jimmy Eat World template which I updated with the new page (and moved, because of an incorrect name). Changes to the what-links-here list due to changes to a template aren't updated very quickly, because they're a low priority for the software. The next time each of the erroneously-listed pages is edited, it'll be removed from the list, until eventually the list is correct. --ais523 16:48, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

That user was banned for making a lot of (now-deleted) articles containing the HDDVD string, and for tantrumming about how Digg was being an Evil Awful Censor. DS 12:33, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

More to the point, I freely admit that I may have misspoken as to the precise nature of the infraction, but he showed up with a Frea-Speach (sic) name and immediately started fussing about in the HD-DVD Decoder String Deletion Review. I have posted an 'Open informal complaint about misuse of administrative powers' during the incident over at the Administrators' noticeboard. I did not ban him. I indefinitely blocked him as his account was not one that was ever used or appeared to ever be used to contribute to the encyclopedia. As for your "I have not editted in months" thing, you have actually editted articles. AmendmentNumberOne did not touch the mainspace whatsoever. That and his disruptiveness in complaining about the initial block by DragonflySixtyseven following an apology from the original blocking administrator which AmendmentNumberOne refused was reason enough to block him; not ban him.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 03:32, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe him to be a troll. I wish him to be unblocked, but beyond that, I wish the admins to start following the policies they claim to enforce and to see that the admins begin getting the oversight required. Just wanted to say thanks for your (somewhat) kind words. :D :P And yes, I guess you can understand just how incredibly frustrating it is arguing with somebody who just won't listen to reason. I've had to literally repeat my argument *so* many times it's not funny. Anyway, I just hope that you don't undergo the same struggle that I'm going through. Just thought I'd inform you that I thought "before April 2009" sounded a bit unencyclopedic in the scope of the article. Q1 2009 sounds a bit better IMO. And one of our arguments that was sparked in regard to Spore was that we leave out "placeholder" symbols such as "RP" or "TBC" until the finalized rating is released (such as T or M).
