Oak Furniture Land

Hi JBGlobal. I've moved the above article into your user space: for some reason it had found its way into the main article namespace. You'll find it at User:JBGlobal/Oak Furniture Land. When you're ready to "release it into the wild", you can move it back again.

I note that at the moment it merely paraphrases the company's "About Us" web page. If it remains that way, somebody is sure to challenge it for copyright violation. Right now you can't! To move pages you have to be an autoconfirmed user, which requires you to have had an account for four days and have made at least 10 edits. When you reach that stage, you should find that you've acquired a "move" tab at the top of the page. Click on that and it'll ask you for the page's new name and the reason for the move: you simply need to drop the "User:JBGlobal/" bit from the name and say it's a new article. If you have any problem, ask and I can do it for you -- better ask on my talk page, as even though yours is in my watchlist I might miss it.-- Jimmy Pitt (talk) 16:34, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

The article that you created (and Jimmy Pitt (talk · contribs) moved to your user space, which you then apparently moved back to the main space) has been deleted. The reasoning given by the deleting administrator was: A7: No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content): G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. In other words, the article appeared to serve no other purpose but to promote the business, and, even if the article could have been written in a neutral tone, the subject did not appear to meet the guidelines for inclusion at Wikipedia. Oak Furniture Land

I think the main problem with the Oak Furniture Land article was that it did not suggest why the company is important enough to have a Wikipedia article. Companies do get articles, but they have to be notable according to WP:N and covered by multiple reliable sources as per WP:RS. If you think you can demonstrate notability and provide sources, the admin who deleted the article may be prepared to provide a copy in your user space so you can work on it.
