Redirect nomination

Hi there. I have nominated the redirect Middlesborough in the 2010 general election for deletion. I hope you don't mind, and I am not sure it matters that much anyway. But, to be absolutely clear, what I think we should consider deleting is the misspelt version of Middlesbrough – I have no quarrel with the correctly-spelt Middlesbrough in the 2010 general election (which I moved there) and its redirect to ToryBoy The Movie. It's only the now-redundant one with "Middlesborough" whose deletion I think should be considered. I'm letting you know because the system doesn't seem to have warned you, possibly because (for some reason I don't follow) it doesn't think you created it!

Anyway, I hope this makes some kind of sense. Thank you for pointing out the existence of the film, which sounds quite interesting and I should maybe watch! Thanks and all good wishes DBaK (talk) 11:53, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Not a problem. Sorry for the misspelling. JASpencer (talk) 17:50, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
No worries and many thanks for the reply. Cheers DBaK (talk) 21:14, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Crimea categories

Generally, its a good idea to wait for a consensus to form before implementing changes under discussion. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 19:19, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
Fair enough, sorry. I just thought it was so much better as a name for the category (which although it deserves a category, I wasn't keen on the name I gave it). JASpencer (talk) 19:27, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Thank you. Although I've used this source, I'm a bit wary of its reliability as I'm not sure of refworld's provenance (although it claims to be a copy of a UNHCR document) and it can make claims that aren't obvious in other sources. When I'm happier with it I'll be happy to use it more extensively. JASpencer (talk) 19:40, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
I liked the internal politics section: it was distinctive. I am sorry to see it cut. Avica1998 (talk) 00:15, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Too many citation requests, reasonably as these were crammed down from a few more general articles like History of Crimea. I will slowly work through them. JASpencer (talk) 07:30, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Lists of species

Hi, the convention here is that when a genus has so many species that including the list in the article would make it too long, the list is at "List of GENUS species". It doesn't have a taxobox. See Category:Lists of species for examples. Also we would not have articles on varieties or forms (unless they were especially notable, which is highly unlikely for diatoms), so they should certainly not be wikilinked if included in the list, but lists of infraspecies would be more usually included in the relevant species article, I think. Easton Historic District

Hello @JASpencer: Thank you for looking at Easton Historic District (Easton, Maryland). I noticed you upgraded it to Start class. Any thoughts on how to improve it to GA? TwoScars (talk) 19:30, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

No problem @TwoScars. I'd suggest going to the project(s) that this article goes to and ask for suggestions. Probably talk about moving it up to C class, then B Class, etc.. JASpencer (talk) 20:00, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Frequent Communion

The article Frequent Communion has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No need for an article on "doing X frequently", in general, and "frequent communion" isn't any kind of specialized term of art -- it genuinely just means "taking communion frequently".

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Moriwen (talk) 15:05, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
