Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:43, 16 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in COVID-19, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi Itsjustme007! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Wuhan flu several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Wuhan flu, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. –Novem Linguae (talk) 23:53, 13 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello there, could you please tell me why it is that this message is being sent to me and not the other guy? He keeps reverting my edits too. TIA Itsjustme007 (talk) 00:01, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hey there. As part of WP:BRD (bold, revert, discuss), one person can make a bold edit, another person reverts, and then discussion moves to the talk page, where we talk about it for awhile, and then we see which arguments have the most support. We are currently in the "discuss" phase, so you should not be making edits that you know people object to. –Novem Linguae (talk) 00:16, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
