Strikeforce Women's Weight Class edit

I just wanted to let you know that the consensus reached by the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mixed_martial_arts was to use the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts to name the weight classes for the Women's division. So 145-pounds is Fetherweight and 135-pounds is Bantamweight, while making a note that Strikeforce calls them differently ("Lightweight" for 145 and "Welterweight" for 135).(Justinsane15 (talk) 21:52, 5 February 2010 (UTC))Reply

1) Strikeforce has referred to at as "Welterweight" multiple times. 2) It is the consensus of the Wikipedia MMA Community to call it by the Unified Rules, which is the weight classes Strikeforce abides by (PRIDE had their own rules) and keep them in line with the weight classes in the Men's divisions (again which go by the Unified Rules). P.S. In case you don't believe me, here are two sources that confirm that Strikeforce calls it the Welterweight division:

Exactly, when Strikeforce's president and their webmaster say different things, it gets very confusing- thus, we made it less confusing here on Wikipedia.(Justinsane15 (talk) 17:01, 7 February 2010 (UTC))Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
