CC-licensed media edit

Hi Jarmo; on your user page, you say "I will be able to provide Creative Commons -licenced media if it is required" - I think it would indeed be very helpful if you could do this e.g. for the promotional poster or another suitable image which can be used in articles. It seems that at the moment, we have none. The problem here is that Wikipedia resp. Wikimedia Commons would need something with a license that allows commercial use and derivatives, too (e.g. CC-BY-SA). At the moment, over in the German Wikipedia, this is the reason that we don't have any image whatsoever in the article de:Iron Sky. English Wikipedia is using the copyrighted movie poster by invoking U.S. "fair use", and it seems that the Finnish Wikipedia does something similar according to Finnish law, but as there is no "fair use" law provision in Germany (only the more restrictive "Bildzitat" which would require that the text discusses the "quoted" image in depth, and which therefore is not used in the German Wikipedia), de.wikipedia.org can't show the movie poster, and neither can Wikimedia Commons host the images used here and in the Finnish Wikipedia. So, if it's possible to release even a single appropriate picture under CC-BY-SA, this would be greatly appreciated by various Wikipedia language versions, I think :-) Gestumblindi (talk) 02:56, 12 March 2012 (UTC) (You uploading it to Wikimedia Commons would be the best approach then, it seems to me - maybe an OTRS ticket to verify the permission would be a good addition, too, see commons:Commons:OTRS)Reply

Spanish article edit

Hi. I am the translator and editor of the Iron Sky article for spanish Wikipedia. I wanted to inform you that every edit on the english version will be reflected on the spanish one (saving distances).

A part from that, I downloaded the theatrical poster from the Iron Sky site and cut out the name which I then uploaded to spanish Commons under the name "Iron_Sky_logo". In case you are wondering the reason for this, spanish Commons is extremely strict when it comes to uploading copyright work, so I was forced to cut and then upload the poster signed under my name. Yo can see it here. Regarding this matter, it would be convenient if could upload the entire movie poster to spanish Commons, in which case I would remove from Commons the current one.
