Image copyright problem with Image:Skalman.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Skalman.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. Please do not remove legitimate warnings from your talk page. This is considered [{WP:VAN|vandalism]]. Thanks, Gwernol 14:02, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The image in question has already been removed, and replaced with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:SkalmanLilleSkutt.jpg which also has an appropriate copyright tag. Therefore, I see no reason to clutter my talk page with unnecessary text since I have already read it. Ion seal 16:16, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

User name capitalization edit

I've moved your user page back from User:Ion Seal to User:Ion seal. Ion seal and Ion Seal are separate users. You can't simply redirect from one to the other. You could, however, request to have your username changed from Ion seal to Ion Seal if you wished. You can do that using the change username process. Best, Gwernol 12:41, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I was wondering about that. Started editing my personal page, but today it had "vanished", since it was case sensitive. Usually, it seems Wikipedia doesn't mind, so that kind of confused me. Ion seal 15:15, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it is confusing. Article names and user names are case sensitive everywhere except the first character, so "ion seal" is the same as "Ion seal" but different from "ion Seal", for example. The change username process is pretty simple and quick if you want to change to Ion Seal. Good luck, Gwernol 15:23, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:The Osaka Tower.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:The Osaka Tower.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Nisargadatta Maharaj edit

I've removed the link to Absurd Minds. Whether their "music seems heavily influenced by [Nisargadattas] teachings, even borrowing whole phrases from his writings", is not even clear from the Absurd Minds wikipedia page, so the right place for this observation might be the bands page or the respective talk page, depending whether it can be substantiated. No criticism intended, i might even check out their music ;-)Tikiwont 14:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Untagged image edit

An image you uploaded, Image:Formulism.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 13:43, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Formulism.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Formulism.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Proposed deletion of File:The Osaka Tower.jpg edit

The file File:The Osaka Tower.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
