September 2022 edit

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Batman (film), you may be blocked from editing. adamstom97 (talk) 23:40, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

i would like to add the name property into the infobox of the article. is this specifically disruptive? Inkwiwtba (talk) 23:44, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
It's disruptive that you keep adding it despite being told not to. WP:EDITWARRING is not allowed and can get you blocked from Wikipedia. This is a silly thing to get in trouble over because that parameter is not needed in the infobox, the infobox is smart enough to add the name of the film based on the article's title without the parameter needing to be used. - adamstom97 (talk) 23:49, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
thank you for explaining. it appeared to me that there are a few articles (such as the batman) about movies that don't have it while many do, and i was correcting an inconsistency. Inkwiwtba (talk) 23:54, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Just weighing in here as I noticed a similar edit on Howl's Moving Castle (film). Inkwiwtba, are you using 'show preview' when editing? If you do, you will see that nothing is actually changing on the article from the inclusion of this redundant field in the infobox. — Manticore 03:20, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

yes, i am aware it wasn't changing anything. i made the changes bc i noticed these films, out of around 300 i was looking at, were ones of about 5 i found that didn't have a "name" field in the infobox. i made the changes purely for consistency throughout the site on pages i browsed. thank you for weighing in, i appreciate the discussion about it. Inkwiwtba (talk) 03:27, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
It's not about consistency, the only time the |name= parameter is needed for pages that use {{Infobox film}} or {{Infobox television}} is if the title is too long and we need to use line breaks. If not, the template automatically adds the name on top of the infobox, italicizes it, and also italicizes the display title. This has been explained to you, twice. Also, I have good reason to believe you are the same person as 24.250.63.221. This doesn't technically violate any rules, but I would discourage such behavior. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:07, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Looking at 24.250.63.221's edit history, I can see multiple users have already explained this to you, and you've already received 3 warnings at User talk:24.250.63.221. I strongly advise you stop this disruptive behavior from here on out. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:15, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

October 2022 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Abbey Road. Sundayclose (talk) 17:14, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

what was the disruption? Inkwiwtba (talk) 17:21, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Apologies. I misread. Sundayclose (talk) 19:10, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
all good, thank you for the response Inkwiwtba (talk) 19:12, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at OK Computer. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You have been told numerous times by numerous editors to stop adding unnecessary track listing templates Tkbrett (✉) 16:19, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Bridge over Troubled Water, you may be blocked from editing.   Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Ready to Die does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Especially recommended when making such a change. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 01:59, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Edit to a track listing edit

Why did you remove a non-breaking space here? Also, note that per convention at WP:ALBUM, albums released post-1991 have continuous running track listings, not broken up by side. Please revert your changes. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 01:14, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
