A13ean edit

Help me.

Dear A1ean:

First, thank you, very much, for your response, but also being polite and courteous. As I mentioned earlier, I am a complete novice with Wiki, and am certainly not aware nor knowledgeable of Wiki codes and requirements. But, I am willing to learn and will do whatever is required.

I don't know if I can write to you directly from my talk page, but unfortunately, I was blocked from editing, and can't respond to you directly.

1)The user name I had picked out is considered to be a violation of some wiki rule, so I have asked that I be reinstated with a different user name.

2) You asked for additional links that are just about Engin Akyurek. Here are a couple that are just about the actor. I hope it helps. Unfortunately, while he is famous in Turkey, he is also a very private individual, and hates to have any interviews or such. I have tried to select the ones that provide the most information about him.

http://kelebekgaleri.hurriyet.com.tr/GaleriDetay.aspx?cid=52180&rid=2368&p=2 this article is completely devoted to Engin Akyurek, and is from one of the largest newspapers in Turkey

http://sanat.milliyet.com.tr/Yazdir.aspx?aType=HaberDetayPrint&ArticleID=533843 This article lists the award that EA won for one of his roles. Milliyet is also a very large Turkish newspaper. While there were several people that won, Engin Akyurek is listed for his role as "Kader" as the most promising young actor.

http://www.kurumsalhaberler.com/digiturk/bultenler/siyad-odullerine-reha-erdem-damgasi/ this is from the official site of the award- again, he is one of several winners, but unfortunately, it is what we have. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1778096/

This is from the Internet Movie Database- a database for all actors from around the world.

As I find additional materials, I will include them. Also, we are writing to the production company for permission to use their pictures. While we are making the requests in English and Turkish, the information may only be available in Turkish. Will this be satisfactory?

I am hoping that this information helps? Please let me know if there is anything else that I can and should do.

Thank you.

Decline reason: It is clear that you are the same person as EAUFC. You may request an unblock at the talk page of your original account if you like, but you may not simply ignore the block and try to get round it by creating another account. This account will now be blocked indefinitely. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:11, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thankyou

Dear James:

I think we are having a difficult time communicating. I did not create the account infuzein as a way around the unblock request. I had created infuzein earlier. I did not ignore the block, I requested that it be lifted, on the original page.

I included another user name when I requested that the EAUFC block be lifted, parlayan yildiz, an account that has not been created. My point was that if EAUFC is an issue, I can change the user name to something, else, information that I included in my original request. Yes, I included this in my original request on my talk page.

So, in essence, you are punishing me by stopping me from fixing up the article to be in compliance with Wiki requirements, because I tried to conform to your requirements after receiving Wikis messages?

Thank you, for being so clearly involved in the minutiae of the requirements, but failing to realize that yes, I AM TRYING TO CONFORM TO YOUR STANDARDS. Thank you, for indefinitely locking out my account for no real valid reason except that I am the same person as EAUFC, and ignoring my original requests, and then determining without asking me, that I was trying to go around Wikis blocks.

There are a couple of people who have responded incredibly courteously to our requests for assistance and have looked at our explanations. And, then others who have just decided an "indefinite block" fixes the problem. Amazingly, this is done under a system in which the exchange of information is so exhaustively promoted.

As I have said repeatedly, I am new to Wiki, and am trying to learn the requirements, policies and codes. It appears that I have come head to head with an incredibly rigid bureaucratic structure, that refuses to engage in dialogue, but determines that a best fix for a problem is a halt to conversation. Somehow, I fail to see how locking me indefinitely, helps me to better understand the requirements of a free, worldwide information exchange system?

Thank you, for making my first experience with WIKI and its administrators so memorable.

Best regards,

Your garbled unblock requests edit

I fixed up your unblock requests above; it had at least two problems in each of the unblock requests: The {{ brackets did not have matching }} brackets. And the <nowiki> tag did not have matching </nowiki> tag. Also the requests did not include the reason for EAUFC's block or the blocking admin’s username. Apparently you copied only part of the unblock template.

As for your concern over the proposed deletion of Engin Akyurek, EAUFC removed the proposed deletion tag a couple of edits after it was placed on the article; so the article is in not immediate danger of deletion. —teb728 t c 05:32, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dear Teb728 Thank you, for fixing my "garbled request." I appreciate your assistance in this matter. Please note that I am completely new to Wiki, and am trying to learn the codes, the requirements, and policies. I am sure that I will have a better understanding of this medium with greater access to the site.

But, while I sincerely appreciate your assistance, I am somewhat taken aback by the "garbled request." I guess I just to have to understand the culture of this site better.

Regardless, thank you, for your assistance.

Best regards,

Dear Admins:

I have recently been communicating with various Wiki admins with the prior account, (EAUFC user name). As that account is no longer to be used, the last message sent to me stated that the block on the "infuzein" account would be removed. I see this account is still blocked. Is it possible to unblock this account and this IP address?

Thank you

Unblocked edit

In the light of what you have said at User talk:EAUFC and in emails, I have unblocked you. This is on the understanding that the account is for use by you alone, and that you will be careful not to write in a way that promotes the subject you are writing about. Please remember that Wikipedia articles should be written from a neutral point of view.

I am sorry that you have been blocked for so long, and I hope that now you will be able to edit usefully without any more problems. Please do feel welcome to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. JamesBWatson (talk) 17:28, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

File:Engin Akyurek, Turkish Actor.jpg listed for deletion edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Engin Akyurek, Turkish Actor.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:36, 4 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Stefan:

Thank you, for your note.

What can I do to make sure it doesn't get deleted. This picture was emailed to me by the production company, Ay Yapim, for which this actor works. It is one of their promotional pictures. I may have miscategorized it, and if so, am happy to categorize it another way. I was trying to get this uploaded correctly.

Please let me know how to categorize it correctly, and I will upload it again.

thank you. Infuzein (talk) 01:17, 4 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

In response to your feedback edit

For uploading pictures and other media, it's easiest to go to Wikimedia Commons (you can use your Wikipedia credentials if you're not logged in already) and visit the Upload Wizard. Wikimedia Commons can only accept files which anyone can use for any purpose. That means most content you find on the web is not acceptable. But for example, most photos that you've taken yourself are OK to upload.

Here's a screenshot of the Upload Wizard:

You start by selecting the files you want to upload, then you go step by step through the process. In the final step, you'll get some wiki markup that you can copy into a Wikipedia article. Let me know if I can help. :-)
