Data update - most visited websites

Hi, I already fixed all the issues that was in the past, can you please explain which errors you are referring to? thanks GrowTHC (talk) 10:32, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Regarding the flags, please see Grayfell comment at 21:47, 9 January 2024‎ in the talk page, he mentioned to remove the flags. GrowTHC (talk) 10:45, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
It took me quite a while to clean up the table; if you have specific concerns, you are more than welcome to discuss, but you shouldn't revert all of my changes just because you don't like it. The previous table had several issues, including the confusing and unencyclopedic "category" column that was copy-and-pasted from Similarweb and possibly violates WP:NOTGUIDE, the inappropriately adjusted font size, multiple incorrect links, etc. I also cleaned up the fat table header, added a sticker header, added a column, used the correct templates for "N/A" and increase/decrease, corrected capitalization errors, cleaned up the formatting, etc. Do you have any specific concerns with any of these changes? As for the flags, they shouldn't violate MOS:FLAGS as they are being used to identify the country of origin, but that's debatable and I'm amenable — if more users object, we can disuss on the talk page. Reverting reliable sources

Hey,

please verify sources before you revert the work of others. Source 22 of the Google Tensor article cites the same refs I've used to make my edits and they have been approved by the article's unofficial watchdog. Your argument is also invalid because all codenames for example are the result of "leaks" but I'd rather call that code investigation. These codenames can be found in the factory images of the corresponding Pixel devices and can be verified but not really referenced for Wikipedia. If you find a better source to reference this information please feel free to add it but simply deleting everything that doesn't fit your liking isn't how Wikipedia operates as it's a community effort.
RM12 (talk) 12:06, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

@RM12: You are not assuming good faith. If you find a source in the article that references a leak by an unreliable source, it should not be there and should be removed. You can remove it yourself or bring it up on the talk page. Galaxy Club is a self-described blog and is therefore not reliable. The second source you added references Reddit, which is obviously unreliable. Two wrongs don't make a right, and no editor is perfect. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:14, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Yes it's pretty hard for me to assume good faith in this case because all the code names are results of leaks. The source for Cloudripper cites Twitter and that's not any better than Reddit. The people who leaked this information found those in the code of android though giving it a high probability of being correct.
I would personally argue to lower the bar for reliability because a leak isn't inherently unreliable. It has to be proven that it's false. All articles used as sources are subjectively judging the reliability of the information they obtain just like you and I am so they aren't inherently more reliable. Though Galaxy Club describes themselves as blog doesn't mean they are unreliable either.
But I'm actually fine with the corrections you made. Sorry for the harsh phrasing. RM12 (talk) 11:30, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Then let's just remove all of the codenames. Now that I think about it, they seem trivial anyway and not really of encyclopedic significance. InfiniteNexus (talk) 16:01, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Dune 2 disambiguation

Hi. You've removed from the Dune 2 film page a direct disambiguation link to the video game, leaving only the general disambiguation page.

I think the game deserves a direct link: * It's practically the same name – most people likely call the movie "Dune 2" and not "part 2". * The game is notable, being the forefather of modern RTS games (<-- mentioned in the 2nd intro sentence). * Not much downside to including it in the disambiguation line. galenIgh 16:41, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

The video game is not titled Dune: Part Two, so there is no risk of confusion with the film. Dune 2 is a disambiguation page. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:31, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
I call them both "Dune 2" and I can't be the only one. The Dune II game article included an Template:about link to the movie. No harm in having the reverse. It's a useful shortcut, and the usage is consistent with many other articles. galenIgh 00:47, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
I call them both "Dune 2" and I can't be the only one. Yes, which is why both the film and the video game are listed on the Dune 2 disambiguation page. But again, the crux of the matter is that the video game's title does not contain the word "part", so there is no risk of confusion. In other words, readers are unlikely to be looking for the video game (titled Dune II) if they went through the trouble of adding the word "part" to their search query and spelling out the Roman numeral. On the other hand, since Dune: Part Two is often referred to as Dune 2 in common parlance, so a hatnote pointing to the film is reasonable. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:27, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
It's both convenient and harmless to have that hatnote in the film's page. But I'm not going to dwell on this if you're so strongly opposed. galenIgh 14:58, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
