I just wanted to make a (hopefully) benign remark regarding this deletion. I came to wikipedia simply looking for some personal background on Nassim Haramein. I wasn't able to find this and later discovered he had been the subject of an edit war. Why can appropriately worded article about this person not be admitted ? His ideas and research is highly thought provoking and interesting. He has proposed an alternative perspective on physics and cosmology which merits attention. Even if it has not found acceptance in mainstream science this fact can be clearly stated in the article. The debate on article deletion appears to demonstrate more about the inadequacy of the Wikipedia guidelines than the inadequacy of the subject. I would quite like to know a few simple facts about this guy such as where he was born and where he grew up.

- First of all, you should note that if you want to communicate to an user, you should always do it on their talk page, in my case User talk:SoWhy. And please always sign your comments on talk pages with ~~~~.
- Then, regarding your question. The deletion was quite a time ago, so bear with me, if it's not fresh in my memory. The decision to delete was not mine, it was consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nassim Haramein (2nd nomination). If you think the deletion decision was incorrect, you can contest it by direct request to the closing admin, bjweeks (talk · contribs), or by using Wikipedia:Deletion review. If you have knowledge of the subject that allows you to write your own version, you are encouraged to create a reliably sourced version that establishs this subject's notability in your user space first, which you can then submit as further evidence of the incorrectness of the deletion to the closing admin or a deletion review. I advise you against simply recreating the article though, it will be deleted per the same consensus. Regards SoWhy 07:10, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
