Sukhoi Su-30 MKI edit

First off, I like to apologize for taking so long to respond. I wasn't editing for a while. Second off, I like to thankyou for your support in my edit. However, I myself do not have a very strong opinion on whether or not that section should be there. The only reason I had edited that section was because there was a heading with nothing in it. Now that the person has removed the section completely, I find that its not a problem, since no other fighter jets have that section in their page. The page does have a list of comparable planes, and I do believe it is enough, since we already have a page specially made for the purpose of exact/indepth comparison, and its becomes redundent to relist them. However, if you do have a strong opinion on the issue, please to make a poll on the page's discussion page, and I will definitely vote. Thankyou --Steven 21:10, 26 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

thanks edit

I did the mirage 2000 article too, it was not at all having any technical info. Can we write like this? "Su-30MKI is regarded as superior in capabilities to the earlier versions of F-15 aircraft of the USAF." I mean Su-30MKI Never faced any F-15, It was Su-30K and USAF have their own reasons for what all happened. anywayz i am happy, after 3 yrs of waiting finally Agni-III is tested.

Template edit

I blocked the user for one week, and I hope that will prevent them from coming back and vandalising. I'm not totally familiar with the subject area, but I have seen that many of the contributing edits to the page were done by established editors. So, I have decided to semi-protect the page from vandalism by anons and new users. Nishkid64 13:20, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re:Jat edit

Unfortunately, I only could see fit to block the user for a period of one week. The IP is used by many people, and I don't want to block the IP for a long time as this would prevent a good number of people from editing on Wikipedia. Nishkid64 20:56, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's a shared IP, and if I were to block that IP, I would run into many problems and possibly get in trouble. I'm sorry man, but I can't block the user. The multiple people under that IP address have been making both good and bad edits, and I don't see a block a really punitive measure right now. Nishkid64 01:18, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Reference on Punjab (India) edit

References have to pass several criteria to be included in Wikipedia. Most important, they must be reliable and verifiable: see WP:RS and WP:V. Unfortunately, the reference you have repeatedly inserted into this article (http://www.punjabonline.in/Profile/) does not constitute a reliable source. It is an unreferenced, unsourced paragraph on a site that offers no information about the author or the reliability of the author's assertions. You are welcome to find another source for the statement you find to be so important for the article, but for the time being - it should be removed until a source that meets the requirements of Wikipedia's policies can be found. Thanks. Nposs 03:08, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Punjabi culture dispute edit

Hi - first of all, please do not violate WP:CIV/WP:NPA - that warning you left Tuncrypt on his talkpage is not acceptable - it is a threat. Neither should you edit-war like this (this goes for Tuncrypt as well). If ever you have disputes that you can't seem to resolve, seek the help of others by pursuing dispute resolution.

Secondly, the passage does violate WP:NPOV - the problem is not the sources, which are OK, but the tone and wordings of the sentence - merely saying that "Punjabi culture is tolerant, progressive" etc. is a generalization and an opinion, especially as there have been so many examples of the opposite. You must write in an encyclopedic tone, with respect for all points of view and foundation with facts. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 13:07, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Rama's arrow, first the sentence and source is about historic punjabi culture not modern. The problem is this guy is intolerant of others views and sources--Indian50 02:13, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
With regard to gujarati gammar page there are many uncited claims that i have right to put [citation needed] on and put up a banner saying there is uncited sources. The same standards must be applied to all pages. And object to Tuncrypt calling the gujarati gammar page his page. Thanks.--Indian50 02:13, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

1-week block edit

I've blocked you for 1 week for violating WP:CIV/WP:NPA, WP:EW, WP:3RR, WP:SOCK and harassing another user. Please be more careful and respectful in the future. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 02:20, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
