Semitic root edit

Not sure that's very important, but if it's on the article, there should be some indication of how the words are pronounced. AnonMoos (talk) 22:51, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

This wasn't about words, it was about the roots. If you mean the verb infinitive using the root, I can add that in IPA pronunciation. --Impossiblegend (talk) 14:38, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
In the sections above, there are indications of how example words derived from triliterals, quadriliterals, and quinqueliterals are pronounced, so what you added stands out as inconsistent with the rest of the article. If you add an example verb form, the 3rd person masculine singular perfect (or past) form of the least-derived verb binyan which occurs with the root would be better than an infinitive... Sorry, but I deleted what you added, since with no complete conjugated/pronounced forms, it's just not useful to the article. You could easily fix it and re-add it by including a few concrete examples. AnonMoos (talk) 18:48, 23 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Longest words in Hebrew edit

The article Longest words in Hebrew has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article makes suggestions for words that are synthesised from the sources but not mentioned in them ("וכשלאינטרדיסציפלינריותינו" for instance, is meaningless). I likeD the idea for a moment but the article is in such a state that I think this one has to go. There's nothing much to be done with it, first of all one can always make a longer word by transcribing an even longer German word into Hebrew. If somebody wants to search for the longest words in actual Hebrew, or the longest Hebrew word in the Bible (this might be a better idea for an article though), google will be able to help them where wikipedia is not. WP:NOTFORUM and even more so, WP:INDISCRIMINATE

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
