Your draft at WT:Articles for creation/Institute of Political Studies - Belgrade edit

I saw your message at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation#Institute of political studies - Belgrade. There are several issues. First of all, your username is a violation of Wikipedia's username policy because it's the name of an organization and implies shared use, especially when you sign your messages as "ISU". Wikipedia accounts are for individuals, not for institutes. You should either have the username changed or, since you haven't made that many edits yet, abandon this account and create a new one with an acceptable username. Secondly, you may want to have a look at our guideline on conflicts of interest. Writing about an institution you're affiliated with is discouraged because it's difficult to maintain a neutral point of view when you're closely associated with your subject. Thirdly, you have created two drafts on the same subject, Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Institute of Political Studies - Belgrade and Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Institute of Political Studies - Belgrade. The latter is in the preferred location for drafts awaiting review; I have tagged the former for speedy deletion since having both might lead to confusion.

The draft itself also has some issues. Its sources are, in order, a directory listing, a listing of research institutes whose content is so closely paraphrased that it raises issues of copyright, and the institute's own website. I'm not sure about the second; depending on who wrote that text and how much fact-checking it was subject to it might be considered reliable by Wikipedia's standards. The others, however, are not the kinds of reliable third-party sources Wikipedia content should be based on. The first one doesn't come close to supporting the content it's cited for; it only has an address, not the institute history. Newspaper articles about the institute would make much better sources. The draft's tone is also problematic; for example, I don't see any of your sources call it a "leading" academic institution in Serbia; such a claim would need not just a third-party source, but attribution to that source, something along the lines of "In 2012 Political Science ranked the IPS first in a survey of Serbian research institutes." (Except I just made that up, of course.)

You should add better sources and make sure that the draft's content is indeed a summary of what those sources say about the institute. Once you have done so you can submit the draft for a review by an experienced editor via the green "Submit your draft when you are ready for it to be reviewed!" button. If you submitted it in its current state it would likely be declined. Huon (talk) 18:34, 17 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Dear Houn, thank you for you suggestions. IPS is the only governmental institution in Serbia for researches of political issues. It is 100 % financed by Ministry of science of Serbia. In that sense it is leading, since its role is to provide analyses and advices to government on domestic and international problems and developments. Any Help from you and your colleges is welcome. Sincerely yours, Senior advisor of the Institute.
