Splitting an article edit

When you split an article into multiple articles (in general, when you copy text from one GFDL'd page to another), you ought to provide a link back to the original page so as to preserve the history of the text as required by the GFDL. -- Paddu 00:47, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Specifically, I was concerned about the various Theodor Heuss Bridges. -- Paddu 00:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
You're absolutely right; my bad. I obliquely referenced the original, combined page in the creation comments on the new ones, but a full wikilink would of course have been more proper. I see that you've corrected this oversight in your own edits later; thanks! Hqb 13:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of The Drought Is Over 2 edit

Hi. You recently tagged the article The Drought Is Over 2 for speedy deletion per CSD A7. However, criterion A7 does not extend to music albums, so I have removed the {{db}} tag. If you think the article ought to be deleted, please pursue deletion through another venue, such as proposed deletion or articles for deletion. -- Black Falcon (Talk) 02:27, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adam T. Siska edit

This is a heads-up that your prod on the above article has been removed without comment. (I had added a "concur" and was watching it.) Cheers! --Stormbay 02:19, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - let's do this the hard way, then. Nominating for deletion through AfD system. Hqb 06:43, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

National Inventors Hall of Fame edit

Looks like between the two of us, all the inductees will have biographies and be properly disambiguated. I am surprised there are still so many redlinked articles. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 15:25, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Indeed. I was thinking of making stub articles for some of the more notable remaining redlinks, based on key info from their HoF biographies, but those seem to be notoriously unreliable. In particular, the birth/death dates they give tend to differ from other sources in about 25% of the cases, which suggests really sloppy research (or typing) on at least the part of the website maintainer. Hopefully the HoF selection committee did a more thorough job. Hqb 17:02, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Polydeuces edit

Hello !

At the end of Talk:Polydeuces_(moon)#For_the_Record_..._from_Carolyn_Porco, User:Rebjon21 seems to suggest that the article mention the team only and be unblocked. Do I understand that this satisfies you ? If no objection is made, the article will be unprotected shortly, which is somewhat overdue.

Thank you in advance and good continuation. Rama 18:39, 14 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

That's fine with me; I believe that matches my position in the debate. Hqb 18:41, 14 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Buff Cochin Bantam edit

HI I made the picture for Buff Cochin Bantam your bot keeps screwing up my work! turn the freaking thing off before I do!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevin Kahle (talkcontribs) 21:37, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

1. I am not running a bot, and 2. the reason I tagged the article for deletion was not because of the picture, but because the text was copied without permission from http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/product/bantam_buff_cochin_bantam.html. Please do not paste copyrighted text from other websites into Wikipedia. Hqb 22:16, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

Thanks for fixing my citation on Kendra Young. I'll make a note of how to indicate editors, as this was actually something I was wondering if I was doing correctly. Kweeket 17:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome; if you haven't already, you may want to check out the {{cite book}} documentation. Hqb 17:33, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well done edit

Helen Gilmore edit

I have located a Helen Gilmore who died in a New York City apt. in 1936 who also made motion pictures and was in vaudeville. This person was 35 years of age. None of her film titles is listed. A review of my other sources proves inconclusive as to what you have asked me about, I could e-mail some of my pdfs for your perusal if you have an address. --Robert 05:57, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Milky Way edit

Thanks for correcting the missing citation. I removed the dangling ref name as it was pointing to a blank source in the ref section. Could you also find the time to comment on the current article dispute, either at Talk:Milky Way or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Astronomy‎? Please ignore this message if you have already offered your opinion. —Viriditas | Talk 21:44, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
