Orphaned non-free media (File:Midnight club los angeles lamborghini gallardo.png) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Midnight club los angeles lamborghini gallardo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:15, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Midnight club 3 dub edition remix cover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Midnight club 3 dub edition remix cover.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:48, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Kobeespncoverbarcelona.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Kobeespncoverbarcelona.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 23:15, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Prince fielder espn magazine.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Prince fielder espn magazine.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 14:06, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Username concern edit

While you have been editing for some time, it seems that only now has someone expressed concern that your username may be in violation of policy in that area. You can file for a change of username, or if you believe that it is defensible and are willing to do so, we can have an RFC on it. Please let us know soon, otherwise you may be blocked indefinitely. Just a note here, hornymanatee is a rather famous Conan O'Brien bit. He blurted out hornymanatee.com one night, and then found out that NBC had to buy that address to comply with FCC regulations so he ran with it for over a year. Staged photos with a giant manatee costume to fit into various categories ('Cheerleader', 'Manatee-on-Manatee' and such). Every Friday on air shared fan art of Conan and the Manatee. Theres even some info about the bit in our Conan article. This is a pop culture reference, not an attempt to be offensive, methinks. -- ۩ Mask 10:12, 1 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Germany. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Your chief contribution today seems to be removing content from articles. Yet you are not giving any edit summaries to explain your actions, which leads me to believe that some of it is pure vandalism. Biker Biker (talk) 10:58, 27 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. September 2012 edit

Your recent editing history at FC Bayern Munich shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nissan Altima, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ford Fusion (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to EA Sports. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Picking one trivial sponsorship, which does nothing to inform about about the subject of the article, is inappropriate.Novangelis (talk) 13:58, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your edit at Bear edit

I have reverted your recent edit there. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve.
