Copy-and-paste page moves

Notability of Musicians

Generally inclusion in Wikipedia relies on independent and verifiable evidence of notability. The criteria for this can be found at wp:band Porturology (talk) 02:48, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Notability of Musicians

What criteria does James Lanman reach under wp:band? If he does reach one of the criteria then he will be included in Wikipedia under an article that could be called, for example, James Lanman (Musician). Such an article will not be deleted if there is clear and verifiable independent evidence that one of the criteria has been met. A US senator (no matter how dead) is always going to have priority in page name over a You Tube musician. Porturology (talk) 03:02, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm going to have to disagree with what you said about a dead US Senator... The purpose of a wikipedia page is so that people can find relevant information. I don't think a dead senator will be making any news today, so why would that be the preferred page? The page is a stub as well, with no information other than the fact that he was a senator and a lawyer. How do I go about getting the page moved? HooshArted (talk) 03:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
