Hi, I made a comment on your ABB-edits here. eI think I'm fair, innit? -DePiep (talk) 20:51, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi DePiep, thank you very much for your comments, which I will answer directly on the ABB Group talk page apart from your comment in brackets, which I will answer below, as it is not related to the article.

Re the comment by DePiep on the ABB Group talk page: "(...she is very good in editing, including more difficult tasks such as referencing, so she might be getting experience under an other name)" - I am new to editing on Wikipedia, and Hogantanya is my first account. I am aware of Wikipedia’s sock puppetry rules, and am not editing in stealth elsewhere on Wikipedia. ABB is committed to meeting the highest ethical standards [1].The reason I have been able to pick up the Wiki mark-up language is because I prepared before editing, and am a trained journalist and online content editor with an interest in Wikipedia. Still, it is a challenge to learn all of the new rules, so I would appreciate tips. As a new employee to ABB, since January 2010, this project is also helping me to learn about my employer.

Hi - Corporate and other edit

Hi

First of all thanks for talking first - it is always important to avoid those sticky COI issues :¬)

I got the info during a discussion here Talk:Industrial_robot#ABB_Robotics_has_its_headquarters_in_China. The information [1] came from the "Driving sustainable growth - The ABB Group Annual Report 2009" and states:-

p57:
"Following the sale of the majority of our non-core activities, Non-core and Other is no longer presented separately but included in Corporate and Other."

p60:
"Corporate and Other: Corporate and Other comprises corporate headquarters and stewardship, corporate research and development, corporate real estate,"
"Corporate and Other had approximately 2,000 employees at December 31, 2009."

The report clearly uses the title "Corporate and Other". The article has different coloured lettering for the sections. The first is dark gold and says "Organizational structure", the next is "Business divisions" in the same dark gold. "Business divisions" is then separated into lighter yellow titles including PPD, PSD, APD, PAD, RD and the last one in there is "Corporate and Other". The nest title is a dark gold one "Management overview".

I would like to point out that the section in ABB Group is titled "Organisational Structure" not business structure and states "The company has one corporate division and five production divisions since reorganisation in January 2010"

I do not see how the information is not represented correctly nor understand why it is important that it be changed. It seems that you are concerned more that it appears that the Corporate and Other is not actually a separate division of the organisation, but if that were not true why does it say "Corporat and Other" so many times and then say it has those employees. If there has been a change to the organisational structure I would be happy to read the text on that before agreeing/disagreeing to your proposals
