Thank you.

The article C-470 (Hockey League) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 23:33, 21 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I really don't see a difference between this article and the one you cited. Normally I don't delete articles that other people haven't tagged for speedy deletion (even though I'm permitted to do it), so I'm not inclined to delete the Capital Beltway Hockey League (CBHL) article without input from someone else. My point was that the other page may well be equally worthy of deletion; I've just not done it, and (because I'm not required to delete pages) I don't want to do it under the present circumstances. If you believe that it shouldn't have an article, please feel free to nominate it for speedy deletion, if and only if you believe that it meets the criteria spelled out here. Please understand, by the way, that the existence of an article on a topic doesn't necessarily mean that there should be an article on that topic; this essay is a good explanation of this point. Please see WP:DRV. Nyttend (talk) 12:11, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
...and you might want to be careful: WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a good argument for undeletion, you need far more than that. Leagues themselves do fit A7, as most hockey leagues are 120% non-notable. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:18, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Please keep the discussion in one place - here. I'm watching here for replies. You're still arguing the same argument: none of the articles you're listing have alternate notability...but the one you're comparing to just might. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:37, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your not answering my question...no one has yet. Why do some pages stay up and some are deleted. They are all based on the same topic. I do not understand why some stay either all stay or none stay. SOMEONE, ANYONE, PLEASE EXPLAIN!!! HockeyCoach80014 (talk) 17:48, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Becuase there are millions of articles, because we are all volunteer editors, and because nobody has gotten around to dealing with it yet. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 18:08, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
