The event will be held from 1–4pm on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Portland Art Museum's Crumpacker Family Library, located on the second floor of the Museum's Mark Building (formerly the Masonic Temple). - Thanks for coming this afternoon. I am sorry you were frustrated by the speedy deletions. The admin restored the two pages: User:Hobsonlane/Mad Dog Garage and User:Hobsonlane/David Butts. I hope you can continue your work on these pages then move them to the main space in the near future. I am curious about both articles myself. - Thanks much for your help, Jason. I noticed the undelete a moment ago and have restarted work on the articles. Wikipedia is lucky to have people like you to deal with these sorts of tedious issues. If this had happened to another contributor that didn't have you around, I doubt they would've had the patience or skill to petition the deletion and continue working on the articles. Wikipedia's Speedy-Deletion May Reduce Contributor Participation edit
Too bad these notifications (below) don't give the creators any time to protest the deletion or add citations. Not only is valuable content and research lost, but the negative leverage of "false negative" deletions is much greater -- valuable editors stop editing, or contribute to alternative knowledge repositories. Once again, the wikipedia UX has left this user with a bad taste in his mouth and I won't likely contribute much constructive for the next few weeks.
