This message is being sent to you because you have previously edited the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) page. There is currently a discussion that may result in a significant change to Wikipedia policy. Specifically, a consensus is being sought on if the policies of WP:UCN and WP:EN continues to be working policies for naming biographical articles, or if such policies have been replaced by a new status quo. This discussion is on-going at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (use English), and your comments would be appreciated. Dolovis (talk) 16:58, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Ditkoselfportrait.png

A tag has been placed on File:Ditkoselfportrait.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Great to see you on Lew Schwartz!

It is always so, so welcome to see your work on the occasions that you can be back. I am pleased as punch that you beat me to the punch, since Lew Schwartz has deserved an article for a long time now. (I did just do up fellow Golden Ager Carl Pfeufer!) Bravo on your great work starting that beautifully well-cited article! All my regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 16:15, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Many thanks, pal, it's nice to hear from you, hope all is well. I can't see that I'm back, back, I just got guilted into doing this article, by something someone said. It also looks like the decorators have been in since last I popped my head in. Hiding T 18:15, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Your tag is always a most welcome sight. Glad you got guilted :)  !
Don't know if you still want to be listed as resource at Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/References#Books, but in the chance that you might, I can see that John Severin needs expanding, especially in light of the fact that, not to put too fine a point on it, he's very old and may not be with us much longer, and it'd be nice if people using Wikipedia to write his obit had as good a bio to work from as we can give them. I see that The Comics Journal #215, August 1999, pp. 46–93; and #216, pp. 121–152 apparently have interviews with him or articles about him. I'm wondering if there's any way to get scans of them or some other way of getting them. (Or, of course, if you have those issues, maybe you can be guilted into expanding the article on the esteemed Mr. Severin!)
If not, that's most understandable. Real life needs us, too! With great regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 23:51, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
