March 2020 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Fares Fares has been reverted.
Your edit here to Fares Fares was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://ethnicelebs.com/fares-fares) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 12:05, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sarsing edit

Any specific reason you keep removing sourced information in the Sarsing article or is this a case of POV? If it indeed is the latter, I urge you to revert your edit or I will involve admins. --Semsûrî (talk) 12:24, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I added the Assyrian name of Sarsing (which for a historically Assyrian town it should have the script there) and I have extended family in Sarsing and there are Assyrians repopulating their homes in Sarsing as I have just come back from volunteering there. Get the admins involved and I will send them sources and photographs of our work there with the Assyrian people from last year. Hi.mariam (talk) 12:32, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

We need published and reliable references which you removed. Also, many Syriac names are wrong on Wikipedia so a source is needed before you add the name. --Semsûrî (talk) 12:53, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

We can see your wiki history on things you have edited especially regarding Assyrian pages on Wikipedia. Considering you are not of Assyrian heritage and are editing pages on Assyrian tribes, towns, religion and people - that is considered vandalism of our pages and we will report you en masse if you keep doing so. Hi.mariam (talk) 13:58, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you genuinely believe I'm vandalizing you should report me to ANI. Right now I will revert any removal of sourced information you do. --Semsûrî (talk) 14:44, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

You are editing important assyrian pages and I have already shared your username with other users about your vandalism. You clearly have a hatred for Assyrians and it shows. Using KRG sourced information is laughable at this point. Keep editing because I will report you and so will others. Imagine how sad you have to be to edit pages of Assyrian people who pose absolutely no threat to you. Hi.mariam (talk) 14:49, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I believe you should involve some admins, instead of claiming 'hatred for Assyrians'. Nonetheless, all the information you add on Wikipedia should be reliably referenced or will be removed. --Semsûrî (talk) 15:00, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Also, in this case, refrain from removing sourced information (and unherd.com is not affiliated with anything Kurdish). --Semsûrî (talk) 15:03, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maybe we would be referencing if you guys didn’t remove things out of hate rather than any fake reasoning about reliability. Yezidi and Armenian wiki users have been notified of your edits as well. What you are doing is active erasure and vandalism! We have remained quiet this long. No more! Hi.mariam (talk) 15:05, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

We need a reference for the Syriac 'ܐܪܕܢ' name. You can re-add when sourced. [1]

Edit warring at List of Assyrian tribes edit

Hello Hi.mariam. It appears you have broken the WP:3RR rule on this article. To avoid a block, you should undo your last change. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:22, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

ANI Notice edit

April 2020 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
 — Berean Hunter (talk) 06:00, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
This might would just be about your breach of 3RR except that you have canvassed others to meatpuppet here to harass other editors.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Hi.mariam (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

even with citation and sources given the pages were still being edited. The abuse of some editors on EVER SINGLE ASSYRIAN page is evident and an article is pending with all your usernames to be published.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. 331dot (talk) 08:13, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

We can all see your edited history. You’re a racist admin. You will eventually be removed. Wikipedia will get bombarded every day with your username. Hi.mariam (talk) 09:10, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

This website edit

Sorry to see that you got blocked. As someone who both has spent a good deal of time editing and interacting on here and who also has some close familiarity with the Kurdish/Assyrian topic areas, I can say that this site could use more knowledgeable contributors on Assyrian matters. It's not right that a local content gatekeeper jumped on you, and got an administrator with limited familiarity with this topic area to hit you with a block before you could do anything about it. This website is run more by its close-knit social environment of editors than by any "free and open" standards, and unfortunately that means that it is very easy for a well-established editor, someone who knows the weird quasi-legal editing rules and codes of this website well and has made relationships with other editors and administrators here over the years, to bully out new editors—particularly in "controversial" topic areas like this. I would be lying if I said that even I had not used that to my advantage in the past elsewhere on here!

I'm not sure if I can do anything about your block. But I can tell you (and whoever else you may know) that whatever exposé article is coming out about all this probably won't do much of anything to change the problems you wanted to fix here. Wikipedia editing is a closed community, and any outside hitpieces will probably just be interpreted as evidence they've successfully kept out an aggressive "POV"—even though you ended up getting done in by an editor here with his own tendentious "POV", and who just is well-established enough on Wikipedia to mask it (like so many on here). Ultimately the best way to fix the problems on here is to figure out how to adapt your contributions to the dry, academic style without obvious passion that is preferred here, to learn what the policies, guidelines, and taboos are here, and most importantly to avoid getting dragged into beef with the regulars. That way, you can offer contributions on your culture and history, or whatever other topics may interest you, and give this site the improvements it needs. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 16:58, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
