Nancy Brinker

edit

Hi there, Re: Nancy Brinker and pink ribbon. I'm finding multiple verifiable sources saying Brinker and Komen where the first to create "pink" as the color of breast cancer. They where also the first to use the pink ribbon in the early 90s at one of their events according to these refs. Once I find more I'll add back with the references I've found. Don't have time time right now but will do it. --65.34.224.43 (talk) 16:31, 1 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good. I was trying to remember when pink became so associated with breast cancer for me - but it all merges in with the emergence as pink as *the* color for women, so I didn't have a good starting point for my own research and Google didn't turn up anything that didn't simply look like rehash of PR in magazine articles. If you don't have time to do the rewriting but can post the refs (here or on the talk page) I can have a go at adding it back too. -- Helen Quine (talk) 14:23, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
