I think you should find a topic a suitable topic (interesting, researchable, not POV: turtles work well) and take it to GA or FA. For this place to suck less, it needs to develop more an ethic of craftsmen with pride. And the craft and product is articles. TCO (talk) 05:36, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
