Help edit

Hello, I would like to initiate a discussion on the deleted article about "Kaymu Pakistan". I am sure there must be something that needs to be improved to get this published, as I understand and respect Wikipedia guidelines.

So I would like to discuss that we tried our best to add value by offering authentic information [facts, achievements. changes, leaders] on Kaymu Pakistan. We believe the company is noteworthy in Pakistan, being the first and largest online B2B & B2C marketplace. Anyone who wanted to know about Kaymu in Pakistan, I think my article will offer all.

My idea was to provide information on Kaymu Pakistan as per the format set by "Lazada Philippines"[1]. I structured my article in same format. Following other Wikipedia articles also has same format or similar kind of information as I present for Kaymu Pakistan.

We have made several changes to the draft along with updated references & try to make it as much as informative as possible.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Kaymu Pakistan edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Kaymu Pakistan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. File permission problem with File:KaymuPakistan.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:KaymuPakistan.png, which you've attributed to Kaymu. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 21:56, 15 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

References edit

Please see how to add references.click here The way you added is not acceptable. For a complete guide see referencing for beginners. If you simply want to add bare urls do so, some other editor may come and refill the references but the way you add takes more time to adjust. Also try to add references at the end of sentences.  sami  talk 15:28, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Saqib: I would like to inform that I made several edits in draft version and I was in constancy contact with Wikipedia moderators including Samee @Samee: to get this as per Wikipedia standards. I understand there might be a lot of improvement required to make it the best Wikipedia encyclopedic content, but what if I want to know about "Kaymu Pakistan", as its a notable company in Pakistan, with TVCs and massive advertisement. People wanted to know about company before making purchase. The content I offered is only about Kaymu Pakistan, not to market Kaymu in Pakistan. Please suggest what changes I should made or to come up with content which makes sense to you. Also, the references I used are the only references available.

I request if you can help with changes in already approved content, I will make sure to do accordingly Hariskhan12345 (talk) 12:28, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

This article clearly fail notability criteria. Please understand Wikipedia is not a means of promotion for your company. --Saqib (talk) 12:40, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Saqib: It doesn't make sense if you start judging people: "promotion for your company" .... On what basis you come up with this consensus? Notability doesn't means writing about the most popular thing, if people know things then they don't need Wikipedia. Do you think these companies are notable enough ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomesPakistan , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zameen.com ... I think having them on Wikipeda is offering information.
Look at your edits. It gives clear impression that you're affiliated with the organisation or editing on behalf of them. Anyway, that is not an issue. The issue is this organisation doesn't pass WP notability criteria. Yes, notability doesn't means writing about the most popular thing but it doesn't means either that we write about organisation that spend millions on TVCs and massive advertisements. You better avoid gaming the system by saying that HomesPakistan and Zameen.com articles are up. When time comes, their notability could be questioned as well. Anyways, you've 7 days time, if you able to get reliable references which can demonstrate that said organisation is noteworthy, the article can be resuced otherwise it will be deleted. --Saqib (talk) 16:12, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Saqib: I am unable to get anything positive / purposeful from your answer, also, you are still judging me (whether its an issue or not). I do not want to judge you by saying anything. All I want to know, how you define notability. I made more than 100 edits to the article to make sure its encyclopedic, offer information to the person who wants to know about the company, and made sure its not projecting / marketing. I am making effort to add different articles to Wikipedia about companies which are known among people but doesn't has any information. My next work is about 'ShopHive' and 'MyShop', these companies operating for about 10 years. I personally wanted to know about them and I though Wikipedia should offer information about such companies. The reason I start with Kaymu is because its more notable then these companies. Companies such as Home_shopping, HomesPakistan and Zameen.com are inspiration to add more information to Wikipedia for people in Pakistan. Please help me with how and what should I do to keep the information available for people. I am new to Wikipedia and still looking for help.Hariskhan12345 (talk) 07:06, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
If this organisation has recieved fair number of mentions in reliable sources then its notable, otherwise its not. So far I can see only two references in the article which doesn't justify the notability. The rest of the references I've deleted because they're not acceptable references here as they're not reliable enough to cite. So I said, you better get reliable references which can demonstrate that said organisation is noteworthy. And yes you're welcome to write about organistions you want but please be note those would be deleted as well if you not provide enough reliable references which can back-up the material. BTW. You have been told by Samee that you should avoid mentoning peacock terms such as vision and that very first sentence "the first online marketplace" but still you didn't fixed them as I can see here. Anyways, I cannot help you improving this article. --Saqib (talk) 10:22, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Saqib: Ok fair enough, now I know what exactly you are looking for. Let me edit this version once again and come up with solid references. Regarding the peacock term, I updated from "largest" to "first" as its the only online marketplace in Pakistan. There is a difference between online shopping site (homeshopping), Online classified website(OLX), and online marketplace (kaymu). I hope my latest edit will make sense to you. Hariskhan12345 (talk) 13:31, 4 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
You better create draft somewhere instead of re-adding the same material and same unacceptable references which I have removed. --Saqib (talk) 17:03, 4 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Saqib: I was in the middle of edit, not trying to give you same references. Anything with week ref I am removing it (even if it adds value to the reader)
@Saqib: I have made several edits to the page along with updating almost all references. Please have a look and guide me if there are further improvements required. Also, I will check over the weekend as well to make sure to fix before seven days. I would really appreciate your cooperation.
@Saqib: I have seen several edits from your end, I would like to thank you for making this a better/authentic copy. I think I can research more references to make sure everything I mentioned makes sense. I can update references in a couple of day.
@Samee: Can you please help with this, I think we have a discussion on what I have done, I would really appreciate if you can contribute once again and update me with what needs to be done so that Saqib and other moderators are also comfortable with.
