Speedy deletion of Usnow

edit

A tag has been placed on Usnow requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Us Now

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Us Now, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No indication of notability of the film.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Us Now

edit

I have nominated Us Now, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Us Now. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ZimZalaBim talk 21:57, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notability on Wikipedia

edit

Per your request at the deletion discussion, please read our guidelines at WP:N, andWP:MOVIE#General principles. Essentially, topics of stand alone articles must have recieved significant coverage by third party reliable source_s_. Articles about movies stand a better chance of surviving the deletion process AFTER they have been released rather than while they are still in production, so while this movie project may not have the coverage it needs to be a stand alone article NOW, that doesnt mean that later coverage will allow it to be re-created.

You should also be aware of our policy on conflict of interest. If you are involved with this film project, you should not be involved in the writing of the article or inserting mention of this project into other articles.-- The Red Pen of Doom 15:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
