Gone With The Blastwave

Would you count that as a notable and verifiable source? The closing admin stated "The result was delete. No reliable sources = no verifiable notability, which is the applicable policy here." Yet the newspaper artical seemed fine, and unless you have objections to the magazine stuff I posted, that would be a second source. If you would have had no objections to the magazine evidence, then I would consider taking this to deletion review because the admin did not seem to take that evidence into account. Or maybe he just didn't think it fit the guidlines. Anyway, thanks for staying NPOV throughout the discussion despite our differing viewpoints and my arguing against so much.Darkcraft 00:04, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Ok I wont take it to deletion review, not that we really had consensis it was about 50/50. • I think, if I'm right about which editor you were - I was referring to this edit. Perhaps "POV" was a little bit incorrect - while it's probably not wrong to say that they were inspired by the T-1000, it's definitely speculation - and your personal point of view - on the topic, to claim they were "perhaps inspired". Either they were, or they weren't - however, we don't know, and there isn't any citation or evidence that they were. What about the thing on in a sonic game someone using a shapeshift ability like the T-1000 wouldn't that be speculuation too? The T-1000 and changelings are almost identical, both liquid that can change thier shape.

• Yes, I agree about many of these - they are by and large original research. Trivia, and "references" sections on Wikipedia tend to be pretty bad about that. However, as per WP:POKEMON, the fact that bad articles, or content, exist is not a compelling reason to add more. If you can't find a source that says it was "inspired" by as much, then don't add it. In fact, I'm deleting all of the "trivia" ones which are either not references, or not blatantly obvious. --Haemo 04:30, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello Sir,

I have been informed by you (Haemo) that my IP address has been identified as vandalizing Wikipedia; accusation that I totally reject. Even though, I quoted the information and inserted the correspondent link to the original source, the content of your warnings indicated that you did not even looked at the kind of data I was adding. In other words, even though I made a error for ignoring the rules, it was obvious that what I added was not simply "trash".

I did not know that Wikipedia does not allow users to paste sections taken from blogs; therefore, I cannot accept the charge of vandalism when I simply was trying to add some information that I considered relevant and worthy of including.

I read the policies and now understand better the nature of Wikipedia; I apologize for editing an article before knowing the rules of posting. I just simply want to clarify this issue and the same time suggest a less agressive and more respectful attitude from you as an "editing user". As is evident, in this case, my error of omission is exactly that, an unintentional error, but never a case of "vandalism".

Oh, I can understand. If you look at a Wikipedia article, there are some "tabs" at the top, like for folders. The one that is open by default is "article" - this is the article in the Encyclopedia. However, there are a couple others "discussion", "edit this page", "history", etc. Each of these links to "behind the scenes" infomation about the article, and how it was created. The "discussion" tab is commonly called a "Talk" page, because it's a place where editors can talk about the article, without worrying about cluttering it up, or constantly editing it. For instance, this is my talk page - it's a place where people can talk about me, and the things I do on Wikipedia. I've added another set of useful links about editing, and how to use Wikipedia on your talk page. You blanked several thousand characters of the article, including sections which specifically stated they were not to be deleted, expanded or altered, without any comment on the talk page, without providing edit summaries, and which were independently reverted by two different editors. I see you using Template:Blatantvandal. The template seems to be not specific enough and I suggest you using the uw-xxxy with warning levels with it. Other vandal hunters can then determine which warning level to give next time. It would make our work easier. Thanks. I noticed that you reverted a change to Outright Libertarians. Can you explain why? You left a vandalism warning, but since what you reverted was a cite for one of the existing points already in the article, I think you're mistaken about the vandalism. Why you consider it as hoax? Did you ever search about it ? Most of the articles of wikipedia which even have a strong notes in google are not reliable, but you add the term hoax to this article ?
