@Brianda (Wiki Ed), - I was trying to move my article as a completion of my assignment, " Moving the Work to Wikipedia". I am not sure if I have an error while moving it from the Sandbox area. @CycloneYoris, Habtcnj, and Brianda (Wiki Ed): Hi Habtcnj. It appears you may have inadvertently "moved" something written for your coursework into what is called in Wikipedia jargon "articlespace" or "mainspace", the location of, again in Wikipedia jargon "articles". As CycloneYoris has explained in their message to you, this will be deleted very soon, probably in my next "edit", "edit" in this context meaning any change to Wikipedia content. Before you create an article, make sure that you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one, please tell your instructor about creating one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know that the article is a subject of an educational assignment as well as aid your communication with them.

While editing:

• Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
• Be bold, but do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
• Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
• No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
• Provide reliable sources to the content you add. If you are adding biomedical information, please follow this guideline.
• Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
• If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.

Homework edits

Hi @Habtcnj, Homework already has a Wikipedia article. Instead of creating a duplicate article, you need to make improvements to the existing Wikipedia article. If you need a refresher on how to do this, please review this training module or this video.

Remember: When you add content to an article, think about how they work with the rest of the text. When you add information, make sure that information isn't already presented somewhere else in the article. If you're replacing text, make sure you don't remove anything important (unless it's not accurate). Let me know if you have any questions.

@Brianda (Wiki Ed),- Instead of making it a duplicate, I added new sections to the article and moved it from my sandbox. Now I can not find it. Can I retrieve it? Thank you so much for your advice. Habtcnj (talk) 09:07, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
