I have moved the article you created to User:Gunstuff/Zeroing (guns). The subject may well be worthy of inclusion as a separate article, but it needs more development before moving to the mainspace. Please read WP:FIRST and if you have any questions, please let me know. Many editors will be happy to help.  Frank  |  talk  18:48, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree that Wikipedia's coverage of this should improve. However one thing to keep in mind is that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a how-to guide. So whoever work on this will have to tread a fine line between discussing the topic and offering advice. Friday (talk) 19:03, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your subsequent edits to User:Gunstuff/Zeroing (guns) mischaracterize the situation. The article was not deleted, and it was not moved because it's "not allowed". It was moved rather than deleted because it looked like a subject which should be covered. However, the article as written was not suitable for the main article space and needed work. This includes citations from reliable sources, of which it has none. Your additional edits are taking an editorial tone, as if Wikipedia is somehow trying to censor or limit the subject, or as if Wikipedia is somehow directly connected to Google (which Wikipedia has no control over). This is not helpful to the article and misses the point of Wikipedia; I (and possibly another editor above, who, by the way, is a long-experienced editor) am certainly willing to help out. Also, I suggest you solicit opinions and assistance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Firearms. Are you looking to expand the article? If it's going to be a WP:SOAPBOX, there's not much point in continuing. If it's going to be an informative, well-researched, well-cited article...let's go for it!  Frank  |  talk  21:21, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
