Welcome edit

Welcome!

Hello, Guitarzero87, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to let you know that everyone is welcome to edit here, so please do not ask that users be banned from editing based on where they live. This can very easily make people angry and get in the way of harmonious contributing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  FlyingToaster 23:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re signing - using the four tildes actually provides a link back to your name and a time for your entry, so these are very useful to see who made a comment. People will be much happier if you use the four tildes, which I would think would take even less time than typing "Matt!" Thanks for understanding.  :) FlyingToaster 23:25, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sure, ask away. FlyingToaster 23:30, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
FlyingToaster's first comment also applies to personal habits, such as smoking marijuana (as you mentioned on the Cannabis talk page). Wikipedia relies on its editors to work together to create well-written articles, and everybody is allowed to edit....While some articles aren't exactly neutral, it helps to keep one's own personal opinion from entering the article. If you aren't yet able to edit the articles you're interested in, give it a few days and edit some other articles in the meantime! These blocks are meant to prevent vandalism and other problems encountered in Wikipedia articles. Good luck! C: DreamHaze (talk) 23:32, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
To answer your question, no, I'm not an admin. FlyingToaster 23:37, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Comment edit

Hey Guitarzero87. I need to warn you that if you keep making offensive comments about people's religion or lifestyle, you will almost certainly get banned from editing Wikipedia. You've expressed a desire to contribute to articles here, and I hope you will, so I need to let you know that there isn't much tolerance for comments like this here. Thanks for understanding. FlyingToaster 23:41, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Signature edit

Hey Matt! I just wanted to encourage you to sign your name on talk pages using the "~~~~". It's really important, as it's completely confusing for the people who are reading the comments. Thank you! DreamHaze (talk) 23:46, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

March 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Talk:2009 Massereene Barracks shooting, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. FlyingToaster 00:13, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to User talk:FlyingToaster. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. I'm jumping this up to a final warning because we've kindly looked past your previous vandalism, tried to help, and been subsequently ignored and attacked. Speedy deletion of User:86.143.158.108 edit

Please do not make personal attacks. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:User:86.143.158.108|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. As it has become apparent that your account will be used solely for unconstructive editing, you have been indefinitely blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest it by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} to this page. Kuru talk 02:12, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
