What exactly is your relation to George Anastassiou? Why do you care so much about whether or not his page stays? Are you a relative of his? Szsmr (talk) 05:14, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I don't really know why exactly you insist on deleting his page. To me, your reasons are not accurate. I do think you are making a mistake. Guadalupe1960 (talk) 05:20, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I saw that the page was tagged as possibly being disqualified from being notable persons. I saw that it had been deleted before in the past. I read the information on his site and it failed to meet any of the criteria. He hasn't done anything worth getting a wikipedia page on him. Not everyone gets a page, and it's pretty evident at this point that one of you (the people fighting this so hard) are using this to promote him. This leads one to believe that at least one of you is Anastassiou or knows him, which violates rules about pages for promotion. That's my reason. What is YOUR reason for wanting his page to stay so badly you had to create an account to argue with me? Szsmr (talk) 05:28, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Allow me to have my doubts about you randomly picking a page marked for deletion. It seems to me that you may have a fight with Anastassiou. The same way you have the right to argue for deletion, gives me the right to argue against it. And like I said before, I did not yet see a good argument from your side. Especially compared to the many other pages on Wikipedia, I don't think Anastassiou's page is that bad. Guadalupe1960 (talk) 05:33, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you think my argument is bad, then you do not understand the language that is used for the policy. Reading what you write, it's obvious that English is not your first language and I think it may be Greek or possibly Romanian if I had to guess. You still have not provided a good reason why the page should stay, nor have you given a reason why you feel the page should stay. Are you a mathematician? If not, I could only imagine that a friend or family member would want his page to stay. Szsmr (talk) 05:37, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is for everybody. Everybody has a right to argue in favor or against that page. My position is in favor to keep that page. Guadalupe1960 (talk) 05:40, 25 April 2014 (UTC) If you think having English as the first language is important then I believe you completely misunderstand the mission of Wikipedia. Guadalupe1960 (talk) 05:44, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not here so that every professor at any school may have his or her own page on the site. That's why there are guidelines. If Anastassiou can have a page, then I can think of many many more people that should have some that don't. WHY are you in favor of keeping the page. ANSWER THAT QUESTION. And I don't feel that it is important that English is your first language, but I do want you to notice that this is the English portion of Wikipedia.Szsmr (talk) 05:56, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Because of his many achievements I do think his page should stay! Read carefully his vita and you'll see my reasons. I do agree with you on one think: there are some important people who don't have, yet, a Wiki page. Why don't you start creating pages for some of them? That would benefit all of us who read Wikipedia. Guadalupe1960 (talk) 06:35, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Believe me, I did notice this is the English version of Wikipedia. But thanks for the great idea: I guess I could spend some time to translate Anastassiou's page into several other languages. It's nice when you can read the same article in several languages. Another positive aspect of Wikipedia. Guadalupe1960 (talk) 06:45, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

It looks like you and I have very different definitions for achievements. Since I last wrote, I looked through some of his books and other writings and they are hideous. The more I find out about the person, the more I believe that you are a relative of him and that you are fighting to keep his page at his request. There can be no other reason for such low quality writing to be defended so vigorously. Szsmr (talk) 15:45, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Eudoxus Press edit

Hello Guadalupe1960,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Eudoxus Press for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 14:46, 24 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
