The article Tecnotam has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Science and Technology Park of Tamaulipas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. XXX antiuser 23:17, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Science and Technology Park of Tamaulipas edit

Hi, I can see you've already created an article about this same subject that has been speedily deleted. If you believe you are capable of creating an encyclopaedic article written from a neutral point of view, I would recommend creating a draft of it in your user space and editing it there until you feel it's ready to be published. Remember to add reliable sources to verify all claims to notability made in the article. I concur with this advice. You might also want to try starting with WP:AFC. In case you need it, here is the contents of your article at the time it was deleted. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 16:10, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Science and Technology Park of Tamaulipas, known as Tecnotam, is Mexico’s first and only Science and Technology Park with a specialized focus on IT and brings together research institutions, universities, and businesses in a 314-acre development that offers quality sites and facilities, world-class infrastructure and services, and a talented workforce. Tecnotam enjoys robust support of government, business, and education stakeholders and is developing in concert with local and state plans for the region.

The major problem that I see here is that there are (1) no sources to establish notability and (2) the language needs to be written in a more neutral way. For example, "world-class" and "talented" are WP:POV adjectives. The claim that it's the "first and only" is good, but you need to add reliable sources. Thanks!
