Vital Farms

Hi Goofywiki,

I noticed you created the Vital Farms article and also uploaded a file the appears to be a picture you took. Are you associated with the business in some form? If you do work there, you likely have a conflict of interest for editing in the topic (see WP:COI). If you are just a customer or otherwise unassociated, please be mindful of WP:NOTPROMOTION where we try to avoid material that can be promotional and just stick to facts. Thanks for dropping the note. I do not work for nor am I associated with the company. I had the opportunity to visit the site and saw what they were doing and the importance of their company. I did upload a photo, but haven't put it on the article as I may want to replace it with others I have. I thought the article was pretty fact based and I made a point to use references whenever I stated something that was a claim or sorts. I am not really seeing too much flowery language. No problem. Some words can be used as puffery when describing companies (often unintentionally too). Things like "The company is widely considered a leader", "Vital Farms boasts", "The company has been awarded an exemplary score" are in the Vital Farms article (and in the reverted edit a bit). Another issue is that it's somewhat difficult to justify listing a specific company in an article about a broader topic they are involved in (such as the poultry article). If you list one, what keeps us from listing every other company with a claim to fame out there? It's a question of WP:WEIGHT, which is basically how we decide if content should be include and to what degree of representation. Personally I'm of the opinion that there's not strong evidence to include weight about Vital Farms in the pastured poultry article (as the last edit was presented at least), but that's a question to discuss on the article talk page if you want to pursue that further. Hello --Yamla - thank you for your attention. As I mentioned, I do not have any affiliation with this company. I am not sure why you are saying that I previously said they are my client. I understand you are saying I am blocked for violated promotion or paid writing, but I say again, that is simply not the case. Can you please show me a reference where you are reading this? An admin Kingofaces43 had already reviewed this article, asked me about these issues, was kind enough to explain some things to me and seems to have cleared it. I am not sure why, two years later, my account is being blocked and this article flagged. This seems malicious. If I have violated any rules in writing, or coding, I am sorry for this due to my lack of experience and will pay closer attention next time, should I decide to write another article. See, here's the problem I have with your claim that you have no affiliation with Vital Farms. You uploaded File:Vital_Farm's_pasture-raised_hens_enjoy_108_sq_ft_of_space.jpg on 2014-10-02, claiming you took this photo with your camera, and you are the copyright holder. Only... that image is from here. It was apparently uploaded by them in 2014-04. So, you have previously claimed that you are indeed affiliated with Vital Farms. Combine that with your previous violations, and I'm not seeing a way we can unblock you. --Yamla (talk) 14:42, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

FYI, I’m not an admin nor did I “clear” anything as Goofywiki suggests. I pretty much just cautioned about COI and left it there not knowing this history of the user.
