AfD Nomination: House of Wolves

Smashing Pumpkins Wikiproject

For the Smashing Pumpkins Wikiproject's logo for use on Template:WikiProject Smashing Pumpkins and other stuff, do you want an actual picture of the band or would something else work? I only ask because I had the idea for a pumpkin and a hammer as a logo, though it's a standard for a band picture to be the logo, and you seem to be the Wikiproject's leader. --Brandt Luke Zorn 07:08, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Rock music invitation

Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.

Cubicles (song)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Cubicles (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Redesign

I'm informing all of the members of The Smashing Pumpkins WikiProject that I recently redesigned and streamlined the WikiProject page (see here) based on Wikipedia:WikiProject Slayer and partially inspired by Wikipedia:WikiProject Alternative music. If anyone sees anything that needs tweaking, or if you think that the whole thing should be scrapped, say so here (btw, there's also an almost exact replica of what I'm telling you here at that location). My Chemical Newsletter

WikiProject My Chemical Romance Newsletter Issue 001 – May 2007
My Chemical News Congratulations to Mikey and Alicia Way who got married backstage at the Las Vegas show in March!! MCR has started the 3rd leg of their Black Parade tour. Their supporting act for this leg is Muse. The tour is currently scheduled to end in mid-May. MCR's 4th single off The Black Parade, Teenagers, was pushed back. It will now be released May 1st. Mikey will be taking time off the tour for a honeymoon. His replacement will be Matt Cortez. Cortez will play bass for the rest of the US and Canada shows. It was recently confirmed by guitarist Ray Toro that MCR will headline the Projekt Revolution tour, along with Linkin Park, HIM, Saosin, and other yet to be announced bands. Project News The POV problem has ended at The Black Parade. Teenagers was recently confirmed to be the 4th single off The Black Parade. Orfen proposed a major revamping of the project which was carried out by multiple members of the project. For further news and information please visit the project talk page. Alternative music WikiProject newsletter

The Alternative music WikiProject Newsletter Issue 1 - April 2007
"There are shitloads of meaning in the songs. I don't know what they mean, but there's still meaning there." - Liam Gallagher Project news Doolittle (album), "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Surfer Rosa, Adore (album) and "Bam Thwok" all reached featured article status in the past month! Well done to WesleyDodds, Brandt Luke Zorn and CloudNine. We've now written more featured articles in the past month than in the year to April. Portal:Alternative music achieved featured portal status, thanks to Teemu08 and CloudNine. More editors are needed to keep the portal up to date. We collaborated on Red Hot Chili Peppers, Zen Arcade, Radiohead and New Order during the past month. Kate Bush, Butthole Surfers, "Today (song)", Californication (album) and "Tonight, Tonight" reached good article status.	New members Swidden, CattleGirl, UncleMontezuma, Dark Devil, RedHotRageSlave, Kudasai, Sjones23, Triviumchick1990 and Mr Richardson joined the alternative music ranks during April. Your revert to the article also blanked a chunk of article text. See this diff for details [1] - old 71.169.25.229 had been busy for while before you arrived.
