Welcome to Wikipedia! edit

Dear God-Emperor: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! HighInBC 22:17, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I wasn't aware though that I had been agressive towards any users. And I would sign my comments with four tildes, except then I can't seem to change what my username appears to be on the page. For instance, I wanted my username to look like Hellspawn, but still keep God-Emperor as my real username, however the foru tildes don't seem to let me do that Hellspawn, God-Emperor 22:36, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I did not mean to imply that you were being aggressive. The sentance about not biting the new users was my attempt to tell you that people here will be welcoming to you if you ask for help. The message is meant to be a friendly greeting that helps you learn the system here.

As for changing your signature, use the my preferences button and select User profile and enter what you want in the signature feild. Then you save your preferences.

Have fun. HighInBC 22:43, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ga Nom edit

Hi there!

It's a great work you've done on Boogiepop Phantom. It's in much better shape than it was recently. However, I'm affraid you'll need to source all the statements made in the Production and Artistic Hommages sections. All the rest is an easy pass, and even FAC material, but these two will need a few more cites to pass.

Great Work anyway, keep it up! Oh, and don't forget to sign your edits on talk pages with the signature button above the subject box. Cheers!--SidiLemine 13:56, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Assessment non-progress edit

Hi. I was just wondering how you were coming along with the good article review of Boogiepop Phantom? Hellspawn 16:28, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for asking so politely. I've done a terrible job of finishing this. Here's what I have so far: User:Edgarde/Boogiepop Phantom

I'd say the article is still at B status, and further cleanup should be with toward a goal of readability, especially for people unfamiliar with the series. / edg 16:39, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguous Hellsing (disambiguation) edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Hellsing (disambiguation), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Hellsing (disambiguation) is a disambiguation page that only points to a single article, or no articles at all.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
