Talk:Rebecca Quick edit

I'm sorry if you felt I handled the situation on this talk page poorly, but the conversation did not belong there. I pointed them to the correct place, but I think they're looking for an argument, not a solution. --OnoremDil 22:17, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're sorry if I felt you handled the situation poorly? I sense that this means you really are not sorry or feeling responsible at all. It's one of those now-standard half-apologies we see so often from corporate CEOs and politicians. I put the issue up for discussion at the Village Pump, as you suggested. We'll see if it gets treated better over there. Or, will I be likewise directed to "take it somewhere else"?
Go Green Go White (talk) 22:25, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it was a non-apology apology. I wasn't trying to hide that fact. I don't think I handled the situation poorly. I think that I tried to give advice to someone who appeared to be a troll. I completely accept the possibility that I was wrong in that assumption, but I don't think I was wrong to tell them that they were in the wrong place to have the discussion. --OnoremDil 22:26, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, guess what? I think my Talk page is the wrong place for you to make yourself feel better about being rude earlier today! Take your deliberately empty apology somewhere else!
Go Green Go White (talk) 22:31, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not trying to make myself feel better. I feel fine. I was simply trying to explain my actions. I've commented on the Village Pump, and now I'll leave you alone. --OnoremDil 22:33, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Life lesson: when your intent is to merely "explain your actions", don't begin your explanation with a fake "I'm sorry". Now, I look forward to not interacting with you again on this matter. Hopefully, we'll do better the next time.

Ermm... that wasn't a "test". What are you talking about? The song exists. It is a cultural reference. --Go Green Go White (talk) 19:29, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
See YouTube kids. See Red Hot Chili Peppers. See a few hundred Google pages. I'm reverting you. --Go Green Go White (talk) 20:03, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

July 2008 edit

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. You appear to be editing tendentiously on a number of different articles, including other editors user spaces. Since you apparently know who Essjay and Greg Kohs are, it's fairly clear that you have been editing before this account, which is only 7 days old. Further disruption will not be tolerated, and will result in an immediate indefinite block on your account. That includes uncivil behavior, edit warring, introducing inappropriate templates into editors' user spaces, especially ones that are not yours, etc. SWATJester Son of the Defender 07:26, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
