Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Please don't copy and paste material from other websites. Copyright violations are illegal. User:Zoe|(talk) 06:01, 21 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

You copied the information in your biography articles for the mesa-air website. User:Zoe|(talk) 19:45, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

There is nothing on the mesa-air webpage which indicates that the information if public domain, and therefore is a copyright violation until and unless the webmaster of the mesa-air website specifically relases it for use under the GFDL license, or puts something on the page saying it's public domain. Image copyright problem with Image:RouteMap.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:RouteMap.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Hawaiian717 03:30, 28 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Go!.PNG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Go!.PNG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Wikipedia_Template.png edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Wikipedia_Template.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 04:25, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MESA logo.png edit

Thank you for uploading Image:MESA logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:17, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
