Please cite sources edit

Hi there! Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you adding content to Ambattar, but you didn't cite a reliable source. Could you please add the source that you got the information from to the article? Otherwise, it may be removed (Wiki editors sometimes remove information that is not verified).

Thank you! - Whisperjanes (talk) 07:27, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

thank you janes.. first you need to know about community practices in india discriminate the ancient peoples. the word ambattar is a abnormal word to to refer community example..negro word for african people.. now a days tamilnadu state government of india changes our community name as ancient word maruthuvar.. we are from the same community we know more about this so I changed the source. kindly change the title..first.. if you need the reliable source I will try to get it.. but one thing redindian only know about their anchestors and life habits..same like same community only know about their previous lives.. I trust in this article have no 10 percent of truths.. Ggsankar2000 (talk) 08:17, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your reply. It seems like this is a larger issue that you have with the article, and it sounds like you were trying to rewrite the whole page (including changing the name). If that is the case, I suggest starting a discussion on the Ambattar talk page about these issues and thoughts you have. I myself don't know much about this subject, but if you are planning on making large changes to any Wikipedia article, it is usually best to discuss first with other editors on that article's talk page. Let me know if this makes sense or if you have any questions. Best, - Whisperjanes (talk) 08:33, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

http://www.bcmbcmw.tn.gov.in/bclist.htm just go with this url it is tamilnadu government approved caste list of backward community. there have no caste said as ambattar..but in serial no 162 in the community name government clearly said as maruthuvar..so kindly consider it.. June 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Whisperjanes. I noticed that you recently removed content from Ambattar without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You have to stop edit warring at Ambattar. See the info at WP:COMMONNAME and WP:RM and also please note the following. - Sitush (talk) 18:56, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
