Re: User:Georg Eckert Institut/sandbox edit

Hi Gavin, thank you for the message. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) as well as Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest#Paid_editing, as I think these would be the most helpful to you. Best, SpencerT•C 12:12, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Spencer,

thanks for your quick response. The Georg Eckert Institute is a non-profit educational institution, public and tax-financed. In Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) it says that non-profit educational institutions are not covered by these guidelines. Therefore I cannot see a conflict of interest. Could you reconsider the deletion?

On the above link, please scroll down to the section on Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies)#Non-commercial organizations, which does cover non-profit educational institutions. This is entirely independent of conflict of interest. What is your relationship with the Georg Eckert Institut? Best, SpencerT•C 17:28, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Spencer, I am working for the institute, as I stated on the user page of the account "Georg Eckert Institute " that you blocked. I read the guidelines about "paid editing" and I will disclose who I am and why I wrote this article wherever necessary. Like I said, I did not try to make any (hidden) advertisement.
