Thanks for your message. The article was deleted as a result of this deletion discussion. Inclusion of any biographies requires meeting a certain degree of notability and verifiability that is set out by our community of editors. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 15:08, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:El-salvador.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:El-salvador.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Closedmouth (talk) 12:39, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mugabe and the white african movie edit

A tag has been placed on Mugabe and the white african movie, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 05:12, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mugabe and the white african movie edit

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 05:13, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: The article was deleted because it contained no meaningful content. If you wish to experiment on the use of templates on Wikipedia, I recommend that you create a sandbox. You may recreate the article on the documentary if you can provide citations from reliable sources covering the documentary and establish its notability. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:30, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: As I said to you in my previous message, you may recreate the article on the documentary if you can provide citations from reliable sources covering the documentary and establish its notability. If you wish to file a complaint about my actions, you may also do that. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:46, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mugabe and the White African edit

I have done some research and found out that the documentary does exist and appears to meet the notability guidelines for films. I have therefore created a stub article for you at Mugabe and the White African. Since I know very little about the film, please expand the article as much as you can. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:44, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: As I told you before, the article was deleted because it did not have any content. There was no bias and if you believe that I deleted it because of bias, then you are mistaken. You are welcome to add to the article or not, that is up to you. The article I created is very short (what is known as a stub here on Wikipedia), so if you were to expand it, the article would be much better. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:49, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: What you wrote is okay, but does have a review/analysis-like feel to it which is not an appropriate tone for the article, at least not a section on the subject of the feel. The paragraph should probably be moved to the lead of the article and stick to a neutral tone such as "The film is documents the case of Michael Campbell as he challenges the land reform act..." Leave out the analysis of the themes of the film as that is original research. As for the references, references 3 and 4 should be removed as they do not relate to the film. References used should be about the film itself, not about the situation in Zimbabwe. The other two references are fine, especially the interview with the directors. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:08, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: There was nothing wrong with what you were attempting to add to the article, but as I said in my previous message, the tone was incorrect. It had a personal review/analysis style which is not the appropriate tone for the article unless the statements can be backed up by outside sources. The article still needs expanding, so you should not feel discouraged to do so. You can still expand upon what the film is about, you just need to be careful about tone and making sure everything has a reference where needed. As you can see, I took parts of what you added and moved it to the lead. I also discovered that Wikipedia has an article about the whole situation and added it to the See Also of both articles. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:15, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
