File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Foreigner - Can't Slow Down (September 9, 2009).jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. [midnight comet] [talk] 13:20, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Title naming conventions edit

Please see WP:SONGS, particularly about naming conventions. Propositional words within the title should not be capitalized in article titles (and, of, in, the, etc.). - eo (talk) 18:28, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Again, before you create any more articles, please read WP:SONGS, particularly parts pertaining on the correct way to name an article and the notability of the song(s). You may also want to hold off on some of these images, as you're providing no sources for them whatsoever. This one [1] looks self-made, which will never fly here. - eo (talk) 18:51, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Foreigner discography edit

You are also seriously messing up the formatting on this page. Please make use of the "show preview" button before saving the page, especially if you are not familiar with working on tables. Saving the page after every small edit clogs up the edit history and other editors should not have to come in and clean up your errors every few minutes. Thanks. - eo (talk) 18:31, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Foreigner discography, you will be blocked from editing. - eo (talk) 18:53, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

re:Foreigner edit

This is why I asked you to read policies on songs, their notability, and the conventions for naming articles. You cannot just make stuff up like "Women (song2)". There is a system for disambiguating articles for songs/books/films/whatever that share the same title. The same goes for the capitalization of certain words. Wikipedia has a style guideline and this should be followed. There are strict rules for images as well, so if you are going to spend a lot of time on song articles, I'd suggest you check these out, beginning with WP:FU.

It is not recommended that new users create articles before knowing how to properly set them up. The best way to learn is to make small edits and improvements to already-existing pages. This way there is no need for people to have to clean up after you each time. As it stands now, the articles you have created are in need of a lot of help: they need sources, they need to be expanded, many of the wikilinks are bad and the formatting is off. You've done ok with carrying over song/single infoboxes (I assume you've copied the template from other pages), but the text of the articles need cleanup.

For the record I have not deleted nor redirected any of your articles. Any of them which have been redirected most likely fail WP:NSONG. - eo (talk) 19:31, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re:"Foreigner" photos! edit

Hi FuturePrimitive666. Please note that all images must have information on their copyright status on their image description pages. All images should have a description and a copyright tag. For the description, add the following to the image description page and fill it out with as much detail as possible:

{{Information
 |Description =
 |Source = I (~~~) created this work entirely by myself.
 |Date =
 |Author = ~~~
 |other_versions =
}}

Then, add a templated image copyright tag (basically states how you wish to publish the file on Wikipedia and what rights you give up to the work) to the file page (see here for a list). Feel free to let me know if you have any questions/comments or are in need of assistance. Cheers, FASTILY (TALK) 06:44, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop NOW - final warning edit

You are still creating a mess of articles; it seems you have not taken into account anything that has been placed on your Talk Page by myself and other users. Please stop creating new articles in this way. Your titles are still formatted incorrectly (ignoring naming conventions), and you are providing no sources, lead sections or substantial content within the articles. Your wikilinks are incorrect, you have repeatedly messed up the tables in Foreigner discography and, most importantly, you keep adding new, unlicensed, fan-made and unsourced images to Wikipedia. If you are not willing to follow policies pertaining to article creation (or learn how to do things properly by making constructive edits to already-existing articles) then I will block you for disruption. It is not fair that other editors have to clean up after all of your edits. - eo (talk) 09:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

First, I wanted to say that if your bio is true, it's great to have someone editing at Wikipedia with such an eclectic experience and background. However, there are guidelines here that help keep things on the encyclopedic up-and-up. I noticed your creation of a number of articles for singles from the band Foreigner, one of my favorites. I hadn't even realized there wasn't an article for, say, "That Was Yesterday", which was a gross oversight and thanks for starting one.

However, there are a couple of articles I didn't know were singles and can find no corroborating evidence for their release. Two for example are "I'll Get Even With You" and "Can't Wait". It's important to indicate if a single was released only in a certain territory, or only as a promo. That may be how I overlooked these singles. It's also possible that their inclusion on a compilation, their appearance on an album rock radio airplay chart, or some other such indicator misled you to infer that they were officially released as a single.

I'm not the kind of editor who goes around deleting things or slapping warning tags, but in this case I do request that you find a link to a reliable source that those two songs were indeed official single releases. In any event, it's difficult enough to get bots and policy editors to allow actual photographs of album covers, but your creation of representational images that are not the actual single covers are against policy and don't actually make any sense. The purpose of the picture is to identify the subject of the article, in this case a product, a vinyl single. If there was no picture sleeve, then the photograph is more harm than help in tracking the item down or understanding its promotion. It's a fun, creative fan-site or blog kind of thing, but inappropriate for the encyclopedia.

I notice a lot of other warnings on the page but I hope that you understand the value of some of the guidelines here and enjoy constructively contributing to Wikipedia in the future. It might help you to read WP:Reliable Source and WP:Fair Use. Best, Abrazame (talk) 07:35, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
