Sock tagging warning

You have been recently slapping sock templates on these userpages:

Regarding DJMoore20, you first tagged it at the end of November. I deleted it, and you recreated it, in effect reverting me.

I have deleted them all. First, it is not your job to tag socks. Second, many of the tags were absolutely false, e.g., calling a sock "confirmed by a CheckUser" when the block of the account was not a CU block, or even imposed by a CheckUser.

This is your only warning. If I see you do this again, I will block you for disruption.--Bbb23 (talk) 03:17, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of LoganPaul19

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of LoganPaul19 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Current sports events category

Hi! Regarding my edit that you undid on the 2020 Thailand Masters (badminton) article, in all the years I've been editing on Wikipedia it's always been the case that the Current sports events category can be added at any point on the day (local time) an event starts, and doesn't need to be added at the very specific time an event starts. If this has changed and there is a global consensus about this, please direct me to it and that's absolutely fine, otherwise there wasn't much need to undo this, especially just one hour before the event was due to start! Edin75 (talk) 10:54, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

Mr Flix11 does a lot of good things in Wikepedia, but appears to spoil some of this with constant behaviour that is testing the limits of other editors. Please focus on the wonderful things that polish your reputation, rather than tarnish. Matilda Maniac (talk) 13:02, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

Semifinals or Semi-finals

Hi. The article that you're linking to as your reason for changing all the uses of Semifinals and Quarterfinals to Semi-finals and Quarter-finals on the Australian Open pages is specific to snooker articles. It even states "This is a style guide for articles that come within the scope of WikiProject Snooker." Therefore, it doesn't apply to other sports. In MOS:HYPHEN, it doesn't give any specific requirement as to the use of these words, but it should be noted that the Manual of Style also refers to "Semicolons", not "Semi-colons", suggesting that similar words are generally preferred without hyphens. The Single-elimination tournament article also refers to Semifinals and Quarterfinals. If a precedent has been set on tennis articles using these words without a hyphen, they should continue to do so until a specific tennis MoS has been drawn up, as both uses are acceptable. Linking to the snooker MoS really doesn't make any sense. Edin75 (talk) 10:29, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

@Edin75: This reference is also used widely in football, like in all FIFA World Cup tournaments. Flix11 (talk) 10:32, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
@Flix11: Football articles aren't following snooker's Manual of Style! That's just how football articles have always been written. Tennis articles have always used the words Semifinals and Quarterfinals. Both uses are acceptable, as per Wikipedia's overall Manual of Style. If you're going to single-handedly change the way all tennis articles are written from now on, you should probably try to get a consensus? The snooker MoS article you're linking to when you make these changes to the Australian Open pages has no bearing on tennis articles whatsoever. It's irrelevant. Edin75 (talk) 10:39, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
@Edin75: Yes, they are. Check for yourself, there is a wikilink on it somewhere I forgot. And I do not change all, just 2020's. I am not going to enforce it on any others. Flix11 (talk) 10:42, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
@Flix11: Football articles have been using hyphens in these words since before the snooker MoS existed. It's not something they adopted after that article was drawn up. If you want to change it for the 2020 Australian Open, that's fine, but if anyone changes it back, citing consistency with previous articles, they'd be entitled to do so, and a snooker MoS isn't really an argument against that. 2020 Australian Open – Day-by-day summaries moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2020 Australian Open – Day-by-day summaries, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Civility

I noticed your edit summary. Was that really necessary? The edit you reverted wasn't vandalism, and referring to another editor as a "delusional Hindu fanatic" is a personal attack. You can remove comments from your talk page or revert comments made to your talk page without such hostility. Please reconsider your approach to unwelcome edits on your talk page. Schazjmd (talk) 18:25, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

@Schazjmd: Sorry, I did not know what he was talking about, so I just reverted it. I have never attacked a religion so I feel a bit offended by that accusation. If he felt that Nazi (which I despised) symbol equals Hinduism, I do not know what to say. Flix11 (talk) 06:02, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
If you look at Swastika, you'll see that the symbol was in use by other cultures long before the Nazis adopted it. And as I said, there's no problem with reverting the comment — the problem was your edit summary. I see that you've been doing a lot of recent changes patrolling, keeping articles clean from vandalism. I did that for awhile, and I noticed that when I spent a lot of time doing that, I started to see bad intentions and vandalism in everything and I was becoming suspicious of every new editor. You can start to feel under siege. But as an experienced editor, you should want to make Wikipedia less of a battlefield, not more. And even with a real vandal, just revert/warn/report; you don't need to get personal about it. I won't lecture anymore, just avoid the personal attacks, okay? 2020 AFC Champions League

Which player does not have a surname here? Plus even if a player does not have a surname, the names are then sorted according to the first names, for example, the Burmese names. There is a very big difference in sorting conventions in club competitions and national competitions. Players of a particular nationality do not necessarily play for clubs of the same nationality. The reason why players are sorted according to nationalities on national competitions is because the main question there to be answered is "Who scored for this country", whereas the same thing can not be applied for club competitions. Please check other club competition pages for reference.--Anbans 585 (talk) 01:43, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

@Anbans 585: Douglas, Leandro. Think it would be nicer if we do not sort on surname since they do not have one on their common name. Flix11 (talk) 01:46, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, I was not able to make it clear in the argument I was making above. Let me rephrase it - "Players should be sorted according to the their surnames or common names. For example, if you check 2019 AFC Champions League page then you would notice how "Hulk" is used as the name to be sorted instead of his actual name "Givanildo Vieira de Sousa". Sorting on nationality is a bit meaningless, considering how it is not a national competition, where people try to see "Which Japanese players scored 1 goal?, Which Iranian players scored 2 goals?", This kind of argument is totally baseless here.--Anbans 585 (talk) 01:53, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Sorted by common name. But OK. Flix11 (talk) 01:55, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Check how names of Spanish players are sorted on 2018 FIFA World Cup page using the full names and the common names.--Anbans 585 (talk) 01:57, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Should I revert the edit on the AFC Champions League page if we are in agreement about the revert?Anbans 585 (talk) 01:58, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

That is why Burmese names are considered one name, and are thus sorted using the first word. For example, Aung Kyaw Naing will be sorted using Aung, you can check how Burmese names are sorted on the national competition pages like 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round.Anbans 585 (talk) 02:04, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

You are now a pending changes reviewer and rollbacker!

Hi Flix11! I've been running into you in recent changes patrolling and I happened to notice that you don't have the rollback or pending changes reviewer user rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling, and that you consistently view and undo vandalism and bad faith disruption. I believe that these user rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of both tools. Instead of having you formally request these user rights at WP:PERM, I went ahead and just gave them to you. These user rights allow you to review edits that are pending approval on pages currently under pending changes protection, and to quickly revert the edits of other users in cases of blatant vandalism.

Rollback user right

Please keep these things in mind at all times when using rollback to revert edits:
  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle. It just adds a "[Rollback]" button next to a page's latest edits - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only, and never used to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask.
For more information on how to use rollback, see this tutorial page.
Pending changes reviewer user right

Keep these things in mind regarding the tool or when you're reviewing any pending changes:
  • A list of articles with pending edits awaiting review can be viewed at Special:PendingChanges, and a list of the articles currently under pending changes protection can be viewed at Special:StablePages.
  • Being granted and having these rights does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
  • You'll generally want to accept any pending changes that appear to be legitimate edits and are not blatant vandalism or disruption, and reject edits that are problematic or that you wouldn't accept yourself.
  • Never accept any pending changes that contain obvious and clear vandalism, blatant neutral point of view issues, copyright violations, or BLP violations.
You may find the following pages useful to review:

I'm sure you'll do fine with these user rights - they're pretty straight-forward and they don't drastically change the interface that you're used to already. Nonetheless, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, run into any issues or problems, or if you're not sure if the use of either tool is appropriate or not and need my input or advice - I'll be more than happy to help you any time you need it. If you no longer want one or both of these user rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove them for you. Thank you for helping to locate, revert, and remove vandalism, as well as review and keep disruptive edits off of Wikipedia - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:45, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I'm from Austria and we are all in Covid quarantine, so I have time to help on Wikipedia to strengthen the project. My English is not very good, but I speak Austrian German.

As far as I could check the sources, they are officially from the Austrian Armed Forces or from recognized Austrian newspapers (or NATO-News). Some mentions appear again and again in Central European media. They also match the homepage of Habsburg, which is not a source for me. Maybe you can check my suggestions for improvement again. Edit summaries

Please use edit summaries when you revert non-vandalism edits so other editors know what you're objecting to in the edit. Reverting a good-faith edit like this one without any comment is unhelpful. Thanks. Schazjmd (talk) 17:27, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

More information about the vandal

The vandal You reported [1] is a long-standing vandal. He terrorizes regularly on hr.wiki since late June 2019 on daily basis. At first it looked like ordinary vandalisms, and later he turned very rude and personal towards Croatian wikiusers, posting threatning content on the talkpages, with posting very personal informations. He also likes to hound, so he also vandalizes mainspace and other pages that targeted user edited. Targeted users are the users that removed his vandalisms in real time. He also has a pick on few hr.wiki users so he sends them very rude messages. Kubura (talk) 23:45, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

What makes this edit vandalism? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:28, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

@Ritchie333: Unsourced content. Per WP:CS: "Wikipedia's verifiability policy requires inline citations for any material challenged or likely to be challenged, and for all quotations, anywhere in article space." As the unsourced sentence is persistently added by the IP (and 2 previous IPs also originated from Adelaide, hence might be the same person), I have to consider it as unverifiable and therefore shall be removed. Flix11 (talk) 16:37, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
In this case, the content in question is whether or not The Amazing Spiderman is partially set in China and Hong Kong as well as Los Angeles, and indeed a quick perusal of the article shows that Spider-Man: The Dragon's Challenge does have a Chinese-related plot. That is not vandalism, that's a content dispute. Please read User:Ritchie333/Plain and simple guide to vandalism carefully. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:41, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Just to echo in simple words, adding unsourced content in good faith is *not* vandalism. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:43, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
@Ritchie333: Regarding that Spider-Man article, I reverted it twice before before Flix started reverting it, I am sure you see my comments to the editor who was adding that, I just feel this block is somewhat excessive. Govvy (talk) 18:18, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

In each case, they were reverting material that had already been reverted by someone else, and in at least one case, was to be reverted again by someone else. And while WP:3RRNO obviously does not apply, when one editor is maintaining a status quo that is clearly favoured by other editors, the simplest—and most popular, I'm sure—solution would have been a semi for the pages concerned and a note dropped on the over-enthusiastic ediotors talk. After all, just because something is allowed by policy doesn't make it the first resort. ——SN54129 18:34, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

It was, indeed, an over-reaction. ——SN54129 08:35, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

John W Collins edits

Thank you for the note. I appreciate that you reached out. I was very surprised to be given a year-long block for those edits to the JW Collins page. I am new to editing and suppose it would be best to create a log in and learn the rules of the road. My mistake.

That said, some of what I added - particularly regarding the Collins kids, I did source, and that was deleted as well. Not sure why that is the case.

The edit that apparently caused the most concern - the quote I deleted - was based on the fact that prior statements by Bill Lombardy (which I sourced) contradicted the very self-serving and dismissive statement he made in his later book. As I recall it, Jack and Bill had a falling out, and I find it disturbing that that quote is being used to reduce the legacy of a man who meant so much to so many during his life.

I was simply attempting to add some balance to the page, but perhaps I didn't approach that in the correct way. In any event, I'm not sure why that warranted such a ban or if there is way I can approach these things better in the future. 71.114.29.201 (talk) 03:12, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

It's certainly improved. But there's no source for the claim that he's been married twice to those individuals, and that one of them died. Nor is there a source for the claim of eight children—is it relevant to a summary article on the man? The reason we don't usually like numbers of children (especially unreferenced) is that such a number is often unstable. Who would correct it to "nine", if he had another. And frankly, who cares who many he had, unless among them are notable people (preferably with their own WP article). This may be very important in terms of his culture and religion, but that is for the Indonesian-language WP. Here, it's dubious and needs good references.

"he is the oldest-ever vice president in Indonesia's history to be sworn in."—needs reference.

I see no reason to retain the "slanted toward recent events" banner. Tony (talk) 05:45, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Yes, you're right. BUT, it raises the question why this information is given twice in the article, when it is subsidiary to the man himself, his career, his contributions. And why one of those mentions is in an already-long infobox. Tony (talk) 05:57, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
@Tony1: I held the info on when did he first married (26 May 1964). Already long? Try George H. W. Bush. Flix11 (talk) 06:04, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

May 2020

Your recent editing history at Germany national football team shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Indonesia COVID-19 Cases Per Million Map Color Scheme

Hi there. I am thinking to change the color scheme of COVID-19 Cases Per Million Map to this: #FFE4E1, #FFB7C1, #FF83B2, #C71585, and #800080. It is to standardise with other countries because most of them use this kind of color scheme now. For example, look at United States, India, and Spain.

What do you think of this? I want to know your opinion as the map creators and it's okay if you disagree. Thanks. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 04:21, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Indonesia COVID-19 Maps

Hi. I think you are doing a great job on COVID-19 deaths map of Indonesia. However, I have some advices/recommendations for the recoveries and confirmed cases maps.

For the recoveries map, the color right now is EXTREMELY hard to distinguish (at least on mobile version). So my advice for this is we better use the old color scheme but we merge 1-49 and 50-99 into one color since there aren't many provinces with less than 100 recoveries.

As for confirmed cases map, there should be a color between #BB0000 and #330000. For this case, I have two advices though.

First, we use the old color scheme but we add #FCEED3. This color was previously used for 1-9 cases but was deleted since there aren't any provinces with less than 10 cases now. It would be like this: |#FCEED3|<100 confirmed cases |#F2A88D|100–499 confirmed cases |#E36654|500–999 confirmed cases |#C80200|1,000–4,999 confirmed cases |#800000|5,000–9,999 confirmed cases |#410000|≥10,000 confirmed cases

Second, we use the current color scheme (or at least something similar) but we add another color like I mentioned. It would be like this: |#FFDFE0|<100 confirmed cases |#FFC0C0|100–499 confirmed cases |#EE7070|500–999 confirmed cases |#C80200|1,000–4,999 confirmed cases |#900000|5,000–9,999 confirmed cases |#510000|≥10,000 confirmed cases

What do you think? I'm just trying to make the maps look better. Thanks a lot in advance. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 10:38, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: I understand your concern but I found both maps are just fine on WP mobile app. Might be following your advice(s) when due. Thanks anyway. Flix11 (talk) 12:09, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Both work fine but the color schemes aren't. No problem ;) HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 12:32, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Anyway, I've made example on both maps' legends so you can see the difference. Thanks again. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 12:35, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Flix11. Is there any reasons of why you don't want to merge/join 1-49 and 50-99 in recoveries map while it only has 5 provinces if they're combined (Aceh, Bengkulu, Jambi, Sulbar, NTT, Malut)? Plus I can see their recoveries exceeding 100 any time soon. I find it exceptionally bothering with 100-499 and 500-99 colors which are hard to distinguish (plus that's not how color scheme works). I could upload a new version of the maps with the colors I recommend but you'll change them anyway. Thank you. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 10:50, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi Flix11/2020, you can fix this template. This will be used on infobox and other main pages as needed. It looks like there's an error parameter so the number doesn't output value. MRZQ (talk) 11:03, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia

I do not understand why you have to revert my edits whenever I update the number of cases that appear in the lead, in the infobox, and even sometimes in the cases template. I cannot update all of the numbers there because I only rely on the live streams, where there are no English translations of whatever the two spokespersons are saying. You keep on reverting, only to have those same numbers added back by yourself or somebody else. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 08:59, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

Oldham Athletic A.F.C.‎

"I've seen it done like this one other pages so my preferred way must be right" isn't a particularly compelling argument. I would ask, why should the infobox heading be different to that of the article title? Mattythewhite (talk) 13:10, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

@Mattythewhite: It is not my preferred way, because I have seen it nearly anywhere else (e.g. Manchester United F.C., Manchester City F.C., Newcastle United F.C., Arsenal F.C., Chelsea F.C., Liverpool F.C., Bradford City A.F.C., Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Leicester City F.C., Everton F.C., Leeds United F.C., Blackburn Rovers F.C., Sheffield United F.C., Swansea City A.F.C., West Bromwich Albion F.C., Wigan Athletic F.C., Nottingham Forest F.C., Portsmouth F.C.; A.F.C. Bournemouth has it "AFC" on infobox. The only articles I found by random selection are in Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. and Sunderland A.F.C.) I feel that it is a consensus. I do not know whether there is a consensus or MOS about this. If you think it should be the same, why wouldn't you change them all? Flix11 (talk) 13:38, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
There wouldn't be much point in me changing them, when I'd probably be reverted without any explanation. Mattythewhite (talk) 13:42, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Indonesia COVID-19 Map

Hi. Thanks for creating the recovery map with the new color scheme. I noticed a small mistake: East Nusa Tenggara has 54 recoveries, hence hasn't passed 100 yet.

I also made a new color scheme for deaths map to split 1-49 into 1-9 and 10-49. It is because too many provinces are in that range. Thank you once again. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 12:53, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Just want to notice you about Jakarta's deaths. It has passed 500 deaths but on the map it applies 100-499 color.

And also can you try to create the confirmed cases map with new color scheme? Thank you in advanced.

I think what MRZQ's edit meant is from the template data of Indonesia's cases. Once you change it from there, it will be automatically updated on the infobox (I tried and it worked). Just want to let you know in case you want to do so. Hope you have a nice day, buddy. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 11:49, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Can you give the link to update it? And thanks for notifying me. Flix11 (talk) 12:54, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

I thought it was from the medical cases data but it wasn't. My bad. But I found this link and I'm pretty sure it's this: https://m.wikidata.org/wiki/Q86913546. Hope I'm not wrong. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 13:20, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Yes I have found it before. What made me upset is he (MRZQ) told me to study while not giving me the way (the link you gave me). I called the WikidataIB (which was there) and it came back nothing, hence I insisted to revert. Now that I have found it I will rv back to his edit and encouraging him to get back from retirement. Will you help me Chris? Thanks. Flix11 (talk) 15:09, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

I just realized he decided to leave Wikipedia. How can I help? HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 16:07, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Message him on talk page, or if possible, e-mail him here from Wikipedia. Can you? Flix11 (talk) 16:43, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

I'll try my best to reach him out. Are you able to edit the link I gave you?

In the meantime, can you help me creating the confirmed cases map with the new color scheme? I'm trying to find the best and most suitable color scheme for both desktop/web and mobile phone version but it's not easy. I'd like to look if it works or not. Thanks. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 17:57, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

I've left a message on his talk page, Flix. Hopefully he'll reply soon. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 02:46, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Thanks for your help. As for the map, keep trying Chris. No need to rush. 50K cases is still a long way, hopefully things will slow down in a couple of weeks. As Aceh is nearing 100 cases, perhaps the color scheme can be pushed so that all 100 to 499 will have current Aceh's color. But this only after Aceh passes the 100 mark. Flix11 (talk) 03:42, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

I know. It's just that I found out there was a huge gap between two colors on desktop version (though it was perfect on mobile phone version). But I just fixed the colors so I hope you can fix them on the map too. Thanks.

And yes, we can do like what you said when it's due. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 04:43, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

And please fix the recoveries map too, Flix. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 05:04, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi Flix. I think since Aceh has passed 100 cases, we should delete the lighest color instead (unless there's a province passes 50,000 cases, we can put the color back - but I don't see it happens anytime soon).

The same thing with other maps. Delete the lighest color but we can add them back when there's a new number range needed. Deleting the darkest color would make a specific province doesn't look like having a lot of cases/recoveries/deaths. Thanks. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 15:43, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

WP:AIV

@Materialscientist: Because their only contributions are vandalism? Flix11 (talk) 07:56, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
I have to disagree on that and ask you to reconsider. Further, lumping 3 different criteria like "actions evidently indicate a vandalism-only account; account is evidently a spambot or a compromised account" does not read well, especially when none actually applies. Materialscientist (talk) 07:59, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
@Materialscientist: I saw them on WP:UAA. If they are not vandal, just decline these requests. Flix11 (talk) 08:08, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
Sure. One more tip: if you see a UAA report, you don't need to copy it to AIV, unless urgent action is needed. Vandalism/spam and username issues are often unrelated. Materialscientist (talk) 08:13, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:2022 FIFA World Cup logo.svg

A tag has been placed on File:2022 FIFA World Cup logo.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

Population changes

Hi, Flix. I noticed MRZQ has edited the population data on Indonesia's COVID-19 table and it caused several provinces to have changes as well. For example, now Central Kalimantan has less than 500 cases per million. Should we revert it to the old data or keep the current data and change the map? Oh, just fyi I also darken the map colors to standardize with other countries although I don't see any big differences. Thanks. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 02:56, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Which map did you change? Flix11 (talk) 03:17, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Cases per million. So shall we change the population data too? HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 03:18, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Yes. And Chris which provinces are affected? Flix11 (talk) 03:23, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

I just checked and it seems that only Central Kalimantan is affected. It has less than 500 cases/million now. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 03:28, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: You can edit the graphs and charts as usual. If I need help on provinces I will let you know. Don't you want the Wikidata? There are 2 used in COVID-19 and population for tests. Flix11 (talk) 10:02, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
@HiChrisBoyleHere: Why don't you want wikidata? There are approximately 20 wikis that use that data, do you want to make a bot or something, like tawiki or arwiki to update it? Is not it? For sources why should you be confused? Right? --MRZQ (talk) 10:20, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

@Flix11: @MRZQ: Okay. Thanks for contributing to the article, you two. 😀 HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 11:23, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Wait. Do not tell me you are leaving Chris. You have the weekly charts as your responsibility :( Flix11 (talk) 11:27, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

@Flix11: @MRZQ: Oh and why does not the table use the data from the template? Can somebody do it for all provinces? It would take too much work on mobile version. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 11:28, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

No I won't leave Flix. No worries. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 11:28, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Europa League

There's only been 3 other Premier League seasons in the last 15 years where my way of ordering the Europa League teams (by round of entrance/access list order) results in a different order than your way of doing it (by league finish): 2007–08, 2010–11, and 2012–13. In two of those articles, we used round of entrance (my way). In only one, we used league finish (your way). In other words, my way has been used 14 out of 15 seasons (and probably more if I looked back further). So claiming "precedence" or "keeping the status quo" doesn't really help your argument here. We've done it my way more often than yours. Simple as that. Bmf 051 (talk) 08:46, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Also, I'm not sure what you're going on about with alphabetical order. No one's talking about ordering them alphabetically. Bmf 051 (talk) 08:54, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
I'd appreciate a response. Your explanation that "this is how we've always done it" was wrong. Are you going to revert me if I change it back? I'd like to sort this out without an edit war. Bmf 051 (talk) 08:25, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
@Bmf 051: Let it be right now. Your way (14 thing) I believe many were when the FA Cup winners finished inside European zone and would have gotten the same (ELGS) or higher qualification (CL) even if they are not winning the cup. Otherwise the CWC era that only let in the FA Cup winners/runners-up if the winners were also the CWC holders. So just let it like the 2013 edition as both are special editions. Flix11 (talk) 08:29, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
So now you want to do it your way because it's "special"? Just a second ago you were saying the opposite: that you were doing it "the way we've always done it". How is 2013 any more special than 2011 or 2008? Portsmouth won the FA Cup in 2008 after finishing in the relegation zone (like Wigan did in 2013), yet they're still listed at the top. Birmingham City won the League Cup, and were higher on the access list than Stoke City, so we listed them ahead of Stoke in 2011 despite Stoke having a better league finish. And we listed Stoke ahead of Fulham that season despite Fulham having the better league finish, since Stoke was higher on the access list/entered at a later stage. How are those any different than 2013? Bmf 051 (talk) 09:51, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
@Bmf 051: Portsmouth won the FA Cup in 2008 after finishing in the relegation zone. Not. They were relegated 2 seasons after. Even if we sort them based on the furthest starting round (Birmingham > Stoke > Fulham), Arsenal still have to be listed under Leicester in last season's article. Flix11 (talk) 10:13, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
@Flix11:That's besides the point: Portsmouth finished lower than Everton, yet are listed first that season because they are higher in the access list due to winning the domestic cup. Arsenal still have to be listed under Leicester in last season's article. I think you're misunderstanding me here (this is a lost in translation moment, which is fine). I'm not saying to list them by the stage they're entering, then by league finish if the stage is the same. I'm saying list them by the order they appear in the Europa League access list which is established by UEFA regulations (i.e. in the order that they appear here 2020–21 UEFA Europa League#Teams). That is Arsenal, then Leicester, then Tottenham. This is also the reason you need to quit flip-flopping Everton and Portsmouth here. Bmf 051 (talk) 10:20, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Thank you so much...

Thank you so much for your enlightenment at the Vice Governor of Jakarta. I'm improving Deputy Governor of Jakarta right now.--Jeromi Mikhael (talk) 10:15, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Benfica away kit for 2020–21

Where are you getting the information about the kit? The kit (in the background) isn't black, its's gray,[5] and the socks are mostly white.[6] SLBedit (talk) 13:47, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

@SLBedit: LOL. The grey kit is a GOALKEEPER SHIRT, like the one I add below! The second one is indeed the away kit and it can be said as a black if not a very dark grey, maybe a 080808 in RGB or so. Flix11 (talk) 13:52, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Yes, the away kit is dark gray and has white socks. SLBedit (talk) 13:54, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
@SLBedit: Do you have any closer detailed photo of the away kit, maybe the socks sides? Also I went to SLB official online shop selling the away shirt and I saw on line 2840 at the source that the available color is "black", indicating the color box is indeed symbolizes black. I have as well took a screenshot on the box and test the color. The code is RGB 000000, means pitch black. How? Is there any argument left? Flix11 (talk) 14:00, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
Maybe because they at Benfica site are incompetent? In several pictures, it looks dark gray. Anyway, judging by this picture, socks are white, and this is why I reverted your edits. SLBedit (talk) 14:16, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
@SLBedit: We go by vector colors. Pictures may look different to the real color because of lighting, camera quality, and other factors. But the kit maker, JonasBR (talk · contribs), is one of the best maker in the entire Wikimedia and he made mistakes sometimes. However, I think his mistake here is only at the socks. Flix11 (talk) 14:25, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
How is this black? SLBedit (talk) 17:19, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

@SLBedit: Like I said, things in a picture may look different to the real color because of lighting, camera quality, and other factors. Flix11 (talk) 19:23, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Detailed pictures of the away kit. SLBedit (talk) 19:20, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

New kits of Greek football clubs

Hello there!

Could you fix new kits for *Ionikos F.C.: Ionikos (H/A/T) and *OFI Crete F.C.: OFI (H/A/T) OFI (H/A/T)

Thanks a lot! GRanemos1 (talk) 08:12, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

@GRanemos1: Please go to JonasBR (talk · contribs), he has more credibility than me. Regards, Flix11 (talk) 08:18, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Do you know hot to fix emblems? GRanemos1 (talk) 08:45, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
@GRanemos1: Explain fix. Flix11 (talk) 09:04, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Ionikos F.C. emblem is not right, the right is at Ionikos official website. Also, Atromitos F.C. emblem should be with .svg from the Atromitos official website. PAS Giannina F.C. emblem has some changes (see PAS Giannina official website and Panetolikos F.C. also changes a little bit Panetolikos official website. At the end, Panachaiki F.C. and Chania FC also should be emblem like .svg for better analysis. GRanemos1 (talk) 09:14, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
@GRanemos1: I will check into it but be patient. It should be finished in days. Flix11 (talk) 09:16, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Ok, no problem with that. Thanks a lot, mate! GRanemos1 (talk) 09:22, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Hello again. If you can see what you can do about AEK V.C., AEK Women's Volleyball Club, AEK (men's water polo) and AEK (women's water polo) emblem. They all use the same emblem. The emblem of A.E.K. (sports club). Also, if you can do AEK B.C. emblem as .svg. At last, see Niki Volos F.C. emblem if you can do anything better with the analysis from their official website. Thanks again! GRanemos1 (talk) 16:59, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
@GRanemos1: I can't do volleyball kits. Maybe you have to ask JonasBR (talk · contribs), he is far better than me. Regards, Flix11 (talk) 17:38, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Not kits, i am talking about the emblem. GRanemos1 (talk) 17:44, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
New emblem of OFI Crete F.C.: OFI official website GRanemos1 (talk) 12:11, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
@GRanemos1: Ionikos is correct per official Twitter and IG account. Besides it was you who upload the image in the first place. Panetolikos is the same as in official Twitter and IG account. OFI was updated by someone else. The AEK logo is restricted to the page listed due to copyright issues. As for SVG I can not make those. I only improve SVGs already made. Misleading kemkes.go.id

Now there are 2 sources from 1 publisher, use either one or both, to avoid mistakes like there. --MRZQ (talk) 11:03, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

@MRZQ: Hanamanteo usually used the kemkes, which was quicker these days. But the mistakes were only on today. Flix11 (talk) 11:17, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
His edits are still pending. It's still safe for anon users . This is good enough to replace covid19.go.id. --MRZQ (talk) 11:26, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
@MRZQ: Is it that quick? Flix11 (talk) 11:27, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
It says the Last Update: 8/15/2020 4:00 PM. Maybe that time. --MRZQ (talk) 11:32, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Burnley F.C.‎

Hi Flix11,

I reverted your edit on the Burnley F.C. page which contained a reference in the infobox and which replaced an official PL source. There's no need to put a ref in the infobox per WP:INFOBOXREF. The new reference (a PL handbook) is also only handy for one season, whereas the current ref (click on Stadium Information to get the capacity of Turf Moor) can be used for multiple seasons, so the ref doesn't have to be updated every season. No hard feeling from me. Cheers, WA8MTWAYC (talk) 16:37, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Where i could help to improve Indonesian Wikipedia?

I have not edited id.wiki for years now, but I'm considering getting back to the id.wiki again. While in the past I was only editing about vehicle registration plates in my country, this time I want to focus outside of these topics. I personally want to focus on editing the COVID-19 articles, but since I'm not extended confirmed on id.wiki (and autopatrolled user right got revoked in 2018) I have a trouble deciding where i want to begin again. What topics i could help improving on? Geology (and I mean geological periods e.g. Devonian)? Tropical cyclones? By the way, terima kasih!! Salam dari Kalsel, SMB99thx my edits 06:31, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

AIV report on 114.5.104.66

Regarding this AIV report; where did you come up with the 114.5.104.66/16 range for this IP? According to the WHOIS record, it's on a /23 subnet. Also, I don't see any other obvious indications from IPs on that subnet that it's the same person. Am I missing something? OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:34, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

@Ohnoitsjamie: There is a number of IPs from this range which did similar between 7 and 12 June. Flix11 (talk) 13:40, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
OK, I see now; it looks like there are several subnets on that range; this one is already blocked for different reasons, and there is a fair amount of good-faith editing on that range. It doesn't look like the IP assignments change rapidly enough to warrant a rangeblock right now, but if that changes, feel free to ping me. OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:48, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Olympiacos 2020-21 jerseys

Hello, I saw that you added Olympiacos home jersey for the 2020-21 season. Could you please add the other two jerseys (away, third) at your earliest convenience - or even better maybe teach me how to do it? Here are reference images for both:

VfB Stuttgart kits

There's not kits of that club in commons, if yoy have problem with a verified article, moved all the information to commons not putting for deletion, respect other's works. ZanioloDiego (talk) 04:14, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

@ZanioloDiego: There were pages like this in 2018. They were all erased because of the WP:NOTGALLERY (read first, BTW). See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AFC Ajax kit history for the 2018 discussion, and furthermore in 2007 (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gallery of Bradford City kits). I later made several pages in Commons since it IS a gallery platform, like Manchester United F.C. kits, Liverpool F.C. kits, and Manchester City F.C. kits. Flix11 (talk) 04:19, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Well, as I told you, could you move the whole information to Wiki commons? I'm not sure how to do galleries in commons so far... ZanioloDiego (talk) 14:46, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

@ZanioloDiego: It is exactly the same. Flix11 (talk) 16:09, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
