J. Craig Venter Institute edit

I am letting you know that I pretty much gutted the above article. I hate doing this sort of thing but it the article contained a lot of content that wasn't relevant to the title of the article. The content was interesting but most of it comes from primary sources, i.e., sources created by the topic itself. An organization cannot cite itself. Since this such a drastic set of edits, I wanted to let you know and possibly turn the article into something more timely and better referenced.
