Letitia Dean website edit

Hiya Flash,

I had noticed that someone keeps removing that link to LD's official website. I reincluded it when they did it yesterday because it seemed legit to me, but I see they have been removing it again today.

We have had quite a few problems with Letitia's page in the past, because she has lots of fansites dedicated to her, which are not allowed to be put in the "external link" section per wikipedia rules. They have been removed in the past, but they keep getting reincluded. Users of the fansites also seem to compete with each other about which site gets listed on LD's wikipedia page, and which should be removed entirely (probably so that their website is the only one listed) :) This is possibly what is happening with the removal of LD's official site. Someone is just trying to direct all the internet traffic to their site. I will continue to reinclude LD's official website if it keeps getting removed, and I will do some asking around to see what the procedure is for checking authenticity of official websites. If it keeps getting removed without explanation, then we can see about getting the page protected from editing by unregistered users, which should put a stop to it :) Gungadin 21:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, it's me again...Another editor has pointed out that the website was being described here as Letitia Dean's official "fansite", rather than her official "website", which may be the reason the link was being removed. It's been changed now so maybe that will stop it being removed, but i'll keep an eye on it :)Gungadin 22:19, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh well, that didnt work, they are still removing it. Ive asked them to explain on LD's talk page Gungadin 22:26, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
